Hi All,
Joined the board to learn the business and have a ton a questions but before I become really annoying, I figured I'd start with a hello and a little about me.
Been out of work for 6 months and need a life change so after 20 years as a designer/art director, I'm launching a power washing/cleaning service. Yea, not too much of a stretch so I should ease right into this. LOL The business is still in the middle planning stages so I'm trying to gear up with everything, finish the business plan, get some additional funding from somewhere and develop the marketing pieces I will need. I'm shooting to be ready by the beginning of April. Besides the design/marketing career, I've got experience as a contractor, tree climber and am very mecahnical so maintaining, fixing and improving equipment is nothing new to me. I also have a partner with a diversified skill set so combined, we have a good mix of skills and I think our strongest asset will be the work we are both willing to put in.
Right now with no additional funding, we will have the equipment to field a two man crew with me and my partner. The equipment being 2 washers, hoses, brushes, tarps, rags, a generator, extensions and who knows what else. What I need to figure out is the detergents that will work best for the typical northeastern mold, moss and algae problems on houses and sidewalks. I'll start another post later to pick the collective brains about it.
I've got a friend with a ton of experience in the kitchen exhaust cleaning world and he sent me this link and has given me some great advice on the industry. Once I find the signature button, I will make one but for now...
