Gun preference

I use only the open guns with no trigger, we use a ball valve on the hose end and connect the gun

We never have trigger problems or leaking guns any more as there are zero moving parts

I use ap-1000 when I am burning gum. Everything else I use a ball valve or a ball valve and a 3/8 socket reduced to a 1/4 socket so I don't run chems in the gun. P.s I also draw more chem this way.

Yes sir. I've noticed that when I've done it myself when the gun fails in the middle of a house wash.

PPS I've owned 2 ST 1500's and neither one lasted more than a few weeks. Same problem every time, gun wouldn't always close. Owned a few 2305's and loved them. Swithced over and bought 2 2605's 2 months ago and now they both leak when closed. Washers don't register anymore than 3500 psi when in bypass.
I like Russ' idea of the open gun for rinsing concrete. Always wondered why they made those, other than that I give up.

What the variable Lance we talk about that the best?
Legacy has two guns that are made for them by Suttner (private label) the "Legacy Industrial Trigger Gun" which is the same as the Suttner ST1500. This is a great gun for smaller hands and holds up very well. The other is the Legacy Best Trigger Gun which is the same as the Suttner ST2605 which is an 'easy squeeze' trigger. The grip is slightly larger than the ST1500 but not by much still very comfortable for a smaller hand.

Two other things to consider... The ST1500 has an angle in the gun closer to 90 degrees which makes it better for flat work in my opinion. While the ST2605 has a wider angle which works better when spraying up or out like when doing homes and trucks.

I prefer the smaller grip guns because my hands are a not big bear paws like Ron. My guys seem to like them too because they are easy to handle. Legacy guns will also save some money vs the Suttner for the same thing.

For a minute there I thought you were insinuating that I had small hands. :D

I think I just ordered some St1500 from you.

Scott "Small Hands" Stone...

It works! :yes2:

They make a repair kit for the suttner guns that has a ceramic ball. This is a good option for the bleach and chem users because the plating on the ball that stops the flow will get eaten off and won't let it meet tight to the seat which causes the leaking.

Another good option is the YG5000 with the ceramic ball. It is a General Pump gun made in Italy that holds up very well.

I let my new employee use my primary gun (the Arrow Line AL-35) yesterday while we cleaned three banks. I used a backup gun the Suttner ST-2605 all day. While the ST-2605 is an easy pull gun, it isn't near the relaxed action gun that the AL-35 is. As a result of me using the ST-2605, my forearms were crazy sore today. Also, the ST-2605 didn't want to close on a few occasions as I had to release the trigger quickly to fix. I will be ordering a couple more AL-35's along with a ceramic ball for each one.
