Groupon and Living Social, a let down? Big surprise.

Just wondering if you were one of those who say they are able to do this carefully and make it work.
There seem to be a few.
I've heard from a ton of people over the years who are totally convinced it's crazy to even try to with NSCs - but then you get a few who say it's no big deal - and you have a Ron Musgraves who raves about all the business he gets.
I can't see myself doing either NSC or Groupon because of where I'm at with my business, but it seems to me sometimes like, "If you believe you can't, you're right."

I suppose when I have employees I may be tempted during the slow times to try to run a smart deal but it seems like wasted money. I could do a flier with heavily reduced prices and still make out better. Plus I'm betting the customer retention rate will be better that way also.

I'm sure there are guys out there making this stuff work, but it seems it would take too much extra work to make up the 50% loss of revenue from the get go, and then have them hold the money for whatever time before getting paid???

No Thanks, I'm to lazy for all that work.

Retention, but what kind of customer would that be?

True guys very true. Of course for window cleaning companies summer can be a slow period. If (and that's a big if) I did this I'd keep them as summer clients to fill that slow time and gradually raise the price.
