I understand many guys rinse from the ground and are one man operations. How do you deal with run off on the house and plants?

What set up do you use to rinse with?

A HOSE! LOL Actually if you pre wet the exterior walls before hand and try to keep everything wet while applying the sauce you should have 0 problems....Hope this helps!

It is BETTER to have a ground man.
When I cleaned roofs by myself, I took a garden hose up on the roof with me
I saran wrapped all plants, even set up sprinkler fields.
That DAM Wind .....

We dont rinse most of the time now either. Soemtimes, if the dead algae looks real bad or the customer has company comign, we will rinse, but other than that, we try to avoid it.

But even if you dont rinse you still have run off from applying, even just a little can hurt. Then you have overspray, which will kill the neighbiors plants too! If you dont have a ground guy, take the hose up with you, Make sure you only clean 1 section at a time, and rinse real good. Its gonna take you alot longer without a ground guy though.
