Greg,

How many mpg do you get in your truck? Is it gas or diesel? If diesel, do you have the chip in it?

I get on average 10 mpg, when towing any of my trailers....I don't even want to know.

I towed our boat up to Colorado 2 years ago, and our motorcycle trailer last year. Averaged about 9 mpg.

That's mostly to blame on the lift. Before the lift and 37" tires, I was getting 18 mpg. The wife wanted the lift, insisted on paying for it. Now I'm "paying" for it.

I get 11 not towing and 9 towing on my f 350. I am looking at exhaust and chips!

Dont waste your money, it wont bring your MPG up.

I've got superchips on mine and got the following mpg pulling the lift in town over a 2 wk period each:

Econ setting - 6.9 mpg (gutless)
Towing setting - 9.2 mpg (gutless)
Factory - 9.0 mpg (also gutless)
Hi-performance - 9.2 mpg (romps)

I have the Edge chip and module. The increase in performance is awesome. But even in the mileage setting, I have 40+ more horsepower. In extreme, it claims 125 more ponies. The truck screams down the road.

The only problem I have is with the Allison transmission, it takes it 50+ mile to "learn" the new shifting pattern. So if I'm at a stop light in mileage mode, and some kid in a Ford pulls up to me, I can kick it up to extreme, but it will shift really hard and I'm not willing to trash my tranny, since apparently the transmission is a important part that keep the truck moving forward and backwards, and I need those luxuries to get my trailers to and from jobsites.

I want some pictures of Tony's truck romping doing wheelies with the lift swinging around behind him. NEED PICTURES !!!!

That is the first time I have heard anyone say that the chip does not increase mpg. That is, if it is a diesel.

2004 Ford diesel F-250 4x4 lifted with 35's 10 mpg towing 12 not

chevy 05 3/4 crew long duramax
21 on flat highway
18 on hill highway
14 city
10-12 towing stock ........and is gutless.....

I miss my dodge cummings dually..........with 90 horse injectors it would get 15 highway 14 city and 12 towing. That truck had enough power to show off while pulling a trailer. Front end was just to loose to keep after 250,000 miles....

2005 Dodge Cummins 2500 Quadcab Longbed all stock.

Highway is 23-25mpg.
Pulling trailer without water 18mpg.
Pulling trailer with water 12-14mpg (325 gallon tank).
Trailer with 60 gallons of water in the tank weighs 4400 pounds (I took it on the scales after having it worked on at the shop).

ford f150 2004 5.6? 21 at 68mph gas
