Grant and I did a job walk together today..........Grant really liked the hat he got to wear.

It was very warm, in fact, on one of the roofs I thought I stepped in soft roofing tar and all the rocks were sticking to my boots but noooooo it was just warm enough to melt the non slip soles on my work boots. . Time for new boots.

All in all it was a fun day, the third bidder was an hour late but he stole the show and almost stepped into a hot fryer while trying to wrestle some filters down from the hood.

Does anybody use a laser pointer as a flashlight? Rumor has it that if you stare at the little dot long enough it gets brighter...

There is some great video of the "third bidder" telling me how the transition can be "removed" in order to clean the duct.

Just follow the little green laser dot (it gets bigger and brighter if you stare at it)
 
The "inside joke" about the laser pointer is a reference to our "3rd bidder".

He was carrying a laser pointer and was using it like a flash light.....so I told him, "You need a flash light!" and his response was that he only uses a laser pointer and if you shine it up the duct long enough the beam of light from the laser light expands and illuminates the whole duct.

I tried it.......I stared at it....... :eek:

Because Matt is fortunate enough to have such a great salesman at his disposal, I think he said his name was Tim or something
 
Try the laser light with some Pink Floyd in the background, you might be amazed at how bright it gets.
 
I don't think this guy listens to Pink Floyd, or rock n' roll of any sort.

There is nothing better than the knowlege we all have from real hands on experience.
 
Looks like guy 3 might have taught you guys a few things. Was he a rep from another company?
 
Another company, well sort of.
They are predominantly an air duct cleaning company that dabbles in exhaust systems.
