I thought I would start this thread got gum Photos.

I have seen some bad places and didnt have my camera.

I have never seen a sidewalk covered with so much gum as in LA.

No after.Just a small burger place that's in shambles needs much more than pressure washing,did'nt seem worth pursuing.

Since we are on the subject of gum removal,My mechanic claims to know of a contractor who uses a chem that turns gum white and crystalizes it (His words)and comes up with just a surfacer no wanding.Anybody ever hear of this?

I think I know who he is talking about. If it's the same guys, they are keeping it pretty hush hush on the marketing and trying to get a word of mouth thing going so that any contractors that tried to bash it could be directed to customers that have seen it work.

I knew someone who froze the gum then used a cold water pressure washer to remove it. Some use a putty knife. If you deep freeze it, a surface cleaner will remove it. I hardly think it is worth the effort though.

Nothing is going to take the place of Hot Water and manual labor to remove the gum...

Freezing would be awfully expensive. the freezing sprays are $10 bucks plus a can. and you would have to do only a couple at a time or they would thaw and defeat the purpose. Get hot water.

My helper here got ahead of the washer. He was arabic. I think this says 'Death To America.' but he says it was 'Death to Gum."

When you guys remove gum....
Do you remove the gum first, then use surface cleaner or visa-versa?
Does it make a differance? What are your thoughts on it?
