Got a call from Chineses place today. LOL

Hey everyone ,How are things?

I get a call from chinese place that I did a cold call on about a year ago.
Get this - They want me to honor the qoute I gave them A YEAR AGO.
Insert laughfter here___________.

I give them a fair price for what I see.So they wait a year anticipating that the fee will be the same. No way in hell.
There has to be atleast twice the accumulation there was a year ago.
Im tired of this kind of business. :mad: Any thought on how I should handle this.
For starters I will get everything in writing including pictures.Then will issue them a new quote.

I will post some Pics of the mess in a few days.
 
Tell them the price is $XXX which is last years first service price, PLUS three times the quarterly price of $XXX which is exactly equal to what they would have paid you to do the work all last year. Tell them they need a service contract because next year the price will be double!
 
I like the sound of that.

If they arent receptive to my new numbers then thats what I shall do.

Its not worth 12 hours of work for substandard rates.
This place will take from sun down to sun up- and then sum.

We put a time limit on our quotes...ie, Quotes good for 30 days (2 weeks during the busy time of year)

2 -3 week time limit sounds good. I thought about a -take it or leave it- stance.
Dont want to give em time to shop around. Sign it or forget it! What ya think.
Ive been in the place about half a dozen times and gave them reasonable numbers.
They declined each time.


No ticky no washy!
 
As soon as they say the price is to high-I raise the price $100-they just go into a spin. Walk away from those accounts-you don't need them. I hate dealing with them-East Indians arn't much better.
 
Going to go in with service agreement in hand and fair numbers summed up according to neglect and see what happens.

I tried explaining the additional build up and how I gave them a fair price in the beginning and they seem to be confused as to why the cost has doubled. LOL
HELLO its been atleast 2 years since the system was cleaned properly.
Like David said, I dont need this kind of account.
Yet Im opptimistic.
Will let ya all know how it pans out. GOAT.

Example ( China Belle ) She Calls and Says ( you come eat here lot, you clean hood this week. Bill say you do for 200 dolla . )

Ok I don't know who the hell bill is for starters. So I say I will be there Wed. to give you an estimate..

She says Ok you Clean on Wed. For $ 200.00 dolla..

I say I will see you Wed after lunch to give you a price if you like the price I will clean it , if you don't like the price you can call someone else..

She says Ok I Call Someone Else///

Well heres how it turned out. I gave them a fair #, They decicded I was going to do the fryers filters and the adjacent equipment for the number given.I said absolutely not. They proceeded to try to talk me into all the extras.

I just walked out.

I have made that mistake soooo many times.
A lot can change in 2-3 months let alone 2 years.
My favorite is when they tell me they want to "skip" the initial clean up cause had someone else come in and clean it up but they just want us for the regular service.

No soup for you!
