Hello. Has anybody ever had a customer with moss on the wood siding? The roots of the moss are in the wood. Is there anything that will kill the moss and the roots? Please let me know asap. Thanks.
How thick? I would use a percarbonate base cleaner. What ever you use, it will remove the finish. Whats currently on the wood - sealant, stain, or paint?
I do a lot of shake roofs, cedar siding, and log homes - You may sell a restoration job to the entire home.
What ever it takes without effecting the wood. Like you asked it depends on how thick it is. Moss is pretty thick. If it's on paint it will blow off easier or knock it off with some type of tool.
Letting is sit there as a decoration is NOT a good idea. It will hold moisture and most likely the wood behind it is partially rotted out so be careful hitting it with too much pressure!
