Fund Drive/Donations to help the Administrator

I'll would be the first one to donate. This board is worth its weight in gold.


I read somewhere that Ron Musgraves stated that he received a lot of gifts from wholesalers, etc - when he ran this board. He did not request, individuals and companies would just send stuff.


There would seem to be benefits other than money. It would be a great marketing tool to say you are the administrator of a board of this many members. You certainly have a voice and some power that comes with having this board. A lot of manufactures, wholesalers, etc would want to network with you - even if they could not actually advertise on your site.

Base on what I know and read about Mike - I think he is doing it to make a difference in this industry and his passion for what he does.

I would guess that there are far more benefits to Mike than just money. Would I do it - NO. There is no way that he can be compensated for the amount of time that he must put into this board.

Still no Mike, I know he has posted on the bb since this thread started. I am curious to here his thoughts
 
Mike probably shouldn't bother responding here only because it was my Idea to ask for donations for him. It didn't fly so what would he really have to say that wouldn't put him in a somewhat embarrassing spot. I tried to get money for him to help him stay motivated here and to also be rewarded for the time he spends here.

I know Dan Flynn raised at least $1000 when he was taking donations on PWN the first year and that doesn't even count the advertising money he also could have been making and back then his bb kicked ass. He use to be very active and on top of things. Love, passion and $$$$ can do wonders.

Scott Stone pretty much made it clear that there are rules that went with Ron M. giving this bb away. That being the case then this is basically a dead issue. Can't say I didn't try.

While the money is not here, the satisfaction of running what is arguably the best power washing bbs goes a long way. The lack of money is one of the things that makes this board stand out from the rest.

But, don't rule out my involvement in more profitable ventures in the future. I hope to earn the same support in those as you have been so kind to give me here...........
