work

part time because winters got me scared only had 1 day of snow pushing this year. its going to be 50 deg today. I fix truck tires as full time [get good deal on health benifits] Then i finnish basements at night[stud, rock, drop cielings, doors, ect] wash trucks on sat and sometimes sunday[every other sunday if the weather is good] or catch-up on the basement work.
Ever here of a one legged man in a butt kickin contest? im busy'er then him but just want to do washin full time.

Part time, but looking to go full time, not ready to give up that full time job money yet.

I guess I would fall into the part time catagory because of two reasons. #1 I have another job where I work nights 3 times a week at fulltime hours. #2 Here powerwashing is mostly seasonal due to the weather. I start in late March and finish up in December. Aprox 8 months. Some weeks I literally Powerwash/stain 60 + hrs a week. Other weeks may be half that. I have 2 guys that work for me. The first guy works for me during the week and the second guy can only do weekends. So what does that mean. I work sometimes 10+days in a row doing my "Part time work"

There's plenty of work in this field if you want it bad enough. I may retire from My "Other" Job all together in 2 yrs to really load up on my "Part time Job" of powerwashing

Opening for business, full time, March 15.

I wish I could talk about my plan but, other PW's from my area know about this site - thanks to me. Have even invited local distributors to tune in.

I can say this, I'll be doing a lot of "promotional" washing this spring.

If my full time jobs work doesnt pick up by spring I may just go at it full time. I dont know what I will do about insurance for my kids but sometimes you just have to take risk to make gains. :)

Full time along with full time of selling chemicals and such. Not enough hours in the day sometimes. Glued to the phone. Just a note ,Nextel will have nationwide two way radio service in early 2003. now it is statewide. That way anyone with a Nextel phone can push a button and have instant communication with another Nextel customer. If everyone on this board had one they could call for troubleshooting anytime. N, I do not sell Nextel I just think it is the most efficent way to reach people. My business number is forwarded to one after two rings. When most customers hear an answering machine they just go to the next listing in the book, something that should never happen.

Booyaa,

I would gladly supervise for the right amount of money and benefits!

Start the talks with $75 an hour plus a car and expense account.

Now on a serious note contact USB and hire those hunks, most can work around class schedules.

Consider the gals too IF they can handle the work, many can and do.

Jon you're hired!!!!!!! lmaooo now what you gonna do??? ha!! The drive all by itself will probably kill ya.

And as far as hiring girls, I have 2 and one of them can wash as good or better than alot of the men I've seen.

Wait a sec, you want benefits too??? Nevermind lol

Hi Al,

That's a nice looking trailer you have. What kind of washer do you keep in it?

Hey, if I ever see a guy power washing with a suit on while I'm driving through Delaware, I'm going to stop and introduce myself! Just kidding around!!! :D :D :D

I wish you the "Best Of Success".

Morgan, For the first year or year and a half, you should be able to get COBRA insurance (keep the plan you have now, but pay for it yourself).

I guess i'm a full timer, mostly full time march thru nov. w/decks(but bid everything at the home)..in the winter I clean gutters and wash some, also I have a year round concrete finishing buisness with a full crew and a limited partner to oversee the work/labor side of things,we do everything from bobcat work ,grading, setting forms to the pouring and finishing of the concrete,so I also stay busy with est,and paperwork from that as well.one might think I was a work-a-holic but it is mostly to put my wife thru school so my daughters will have a Doctor for a mother.
