Fresh Wash from Powerwash.com

Thats a quiet washer you have Doug must have a silencer on it lol.You can tell by the way it hangs on the windows its a good product. When i have made truck soap before the price on these surfactants can be really high per gallon so you get what you pay for in the surfactant world.

It looks like a good product, I will have to give it a try.

The MSDS doesn't state what is in it. Does anyone know if it is ammonyx lo, ammonyx M, lauramine oxide, myrstamine oxide or something else?

I bit the bullet and ordered the Fresh Wash today, it's pricey for me but ihave been using only one kind ofSoap and I would like to see the difference, other wise I will never know how other soaps compare or if there is A difference in the quality of the finished product. I also purchased the wax and I want to give that a shot as wellI figured if I'm spending 90 something on soap I might as well go for broke...lol

Bought Fresh Wash 2weeks ago. But I wont let anyone use it cuz it hurts to pay $120 total cost for anything in a 5 gal bucket. Used it twice on upscale homes. Its hard to notice anything spectacular to justify the cost. How much does 2 little bloops of ammonyx cost? Cuz thats what goes in my house wash mix. As far as roof goes, Im at $7 per roof using ammonyx (1/2+ gal per 65 gal batch @ $800 per drum). Fresh wash puts me at $13-$14 per 65 gal batch at 48oz. We're good for roughly 25 roofs/wk. That math comes to roughly $650/month difference between Fresh Wash and ammonyx. Dougs a good guy and his recommendation sells products. But I'd rather explain away the chlorine in exchange of a half a mortgage payment.

Ouch, I don't do roofs so I will use it like Doug said 4 to 6 oz in a 5er.
It should last me a while and I will use it selectively I think.

Ed, Thanks for the post. I've been waiting for a true review of this stuff for a while. I never understood how 3-6 ozs could make such a big deal in 5 gals of bleach to justify $100+ for 5 gals of this stuff. Sounds exactly like the stuff AC has out there.

I ordered and have been using the Fresh Wash for 2 weeks now and I don't like it compared to the ammonyx that I have been using for a long time now. I have not done a roof with it but just donwstreaming on exteriors. It does cover the scent real well but does not have the cling that the ammonyx has. If your SH is not real strong this product does not hold to the surface long enough to let the SH do its job and I was having to soap 2-3 times before it would; I then added ammonyx to the same tank and used it and it made a huge difference. I only had to soap the surface one time like normally with my usual mix with ammonyx. I dont really care for this product it covers smell real well and rinses real well but does not have the cling action that ammonyx has.

I'll stick with ammonyx!

How much of the Amonyx are you putting into a 5 gallon bucket of house wash mix?

I still have some and thought I would try it out on house washing.

Thanks.

For a 5 gallon bucket of house wash mix I use exactly 2 to 2 1/2 bloops of ammonyx. (nobody's measuring here. i would guess around 1/8+ cup) Rinsed properly its all fine. I used Fresh Wash to wash my truck and I did notice a decent non-streaking type of drying action on the glass. But again, im almost angry with myself cuz im a sucker for cool new expensive untested products. And let me correct my previous post, we do 25 roofs on a really good week. We're averaging 10-15 this time of year.

Sorry my review wasn't true enough for ya..but it works for me. While it may sound exactly like AC's Green Wash, I like this better so I use it. I am very satisfied with how it clings to houses and roofs, most of the houses I clean are Brick with Hardie Plank Siding, and I just like it better than Ammonyx, Green Wash, or Simple Cherry. If I didn't like it better, believe me, I wouldn't use it.

Doug, your review certainly was enough for me to buy it, along with others. I think its a decent product just not for the cost. There was a time, long ago as a kid, I washed houses for $99-$149. I had zero overhead and gave good basic house washes. As you start adding and adding to the bottom line, you can end up being the guy they call crazy once you start give outrageuos quotes. Though your prices may be justified by things like insurance, staffing, rent, fuel, and gold plated ball valves, youre pricing yourself out of the game by not keeping it simple.
