I'm putting together a "Frequently asked Question and Answer" sheet to go with my bid sheets, specifiacally for those customers I don't get to see when bidding. As usual, my mind goes blank when sitting down to write, so I'm asking for help, this is mainly to do with residential house and drive etc washing.

Heres what I have so far,

Are you insured?

Do you use a mildew retardent?

Will the chemicals hurt my plants?

How long have you been in business?

What other services do you offer?

Gav
PS, I have the answers to these, its more the questions I'm after!!

Thanks John, wow, nearly 50 views and only 1 answer, I can't be the only one who gets interragated by customers...Can I?

Hello Gav,

How long will the work/project take?

How long until you can start this job/project?

What time of the day/night and day of the week will you do this work?

Will you use my/our water or electricity?

Will it make a lot of noise?

Do I/we need to be here when you do the work?

Do I/we need to do anything to prepare for this project?

Bold is quoting Dave Olson:

Will it make a lot of noise?

I always love that question and have a stock answer, for me No as I am part deaf but for you it could be a bit loud at times yes.!

Only had one complaint in all the years I have been doing this, woke some bloke up and he came out swearing but I could not hear him till I shut the system down.

When I heard what he was saying I just started it up again and went back to work!

Needless to say the Hotel he was staying at complained a few times to the customer and I lost the account, oh well, win some, lose some.

Do I/we need to be here when you do the work?

You might let them know you do expect them home when finished to be paid, many guys have posted on this that the customer knows those answers and says I am stepping out to run to the store, will be right back, you hang around for an hour or so to get paid, they DO NOT quickly return home to pay you. Might ask for a check before they leave.
