Found this yesterday, might need to buy it!

I'll take your flat bed....

I'll sell it to you for the payoff Doug which is about $18,000 It comes with a 200,000 mile power train warranty. The truck currently has about 119,000 on it. I'll let you know when I'm getting ready to get the new truck next month.

Ummm...JEFFS

Darn it, I was going to even throw in a personal guarantee with it that it likes to go on vacation to the dealer for 1 week every month or 2 lol.
Yup they love to go on vacation.

And yet, out of 31 trucks that I have, only one has had any problems, and it was a manufacturing error.

All 20 of my power wash trucks are f-350's. As we go along we retire trucks, because we find it more economical to replace them than pay for repairs, as they reach the end of their service life. Usually we are retiring them when the reach about 15,000 service hours. Keep in mind they run 8 hours a day, and sometimes do double shifts. I figure this is easily the equivalent of 450,000 miles before they are retired.

Scott most of yours are gas correct? Mostly talking about diesels.

This thing has the 4.5L six cylinder diesel. Any good? I now need to get something pretty quick as my truck got stolen Tuesday.

The 4.5L Diesel in those trucks were built by International. I've seen some used truck online with over 225,000 miles on them. I would ask for some type of power train warranty on it if I was to buy it for the right price. If the don't want to offer any type of warranty with it though I would walk away from it. If you want a cabover style type of truck you can't beat a Mitsubishi or an Isuzu or even a GMC which is the same truck as the Isuzu.

Hope this helps Chris, I know you're in a bind.

I have a few 5.4 gas engines in F-150's 2005 trucks. All have about 150k-200k, haven't even changed an alternator yet in 3 trucks. Purchased them all with 50k and just oil, brakes, plugs, tires, fluids. Amazing so far so good. Purchased a brand new 2014 Chevy 3500 flat bed, been in the shop 2x already with computer problems under 10k. Should of stayed Ford fleet.

They are all machines and machines break down but ford has had its share of engineering faults with its diesels. Dodge on the other hand has stayed with the cummins for years. Thats a good engine.

Running a reliable and professional business I would not let our trucks get to 200k miles before swapping them for new. Down time is critical in our business.

The minute they start costing more than a payment, they are gone. I do have the luxury of having a few back up trucks.
Incidentally, we do pay cash, but a payment is a guideline.
