For those that have over 200' on your reels for Power Washing

Is there a problem with the connections rolling up onto the reel?

Goodyear neptune single braid 4000psi - best hose Ive had. That soft cover lasts 3 times as long for me as the super tough wrapped ones.

That is the same hose I use and have very good luck with it.

Now there is an RT I know I would not miss! :)

I know some of you guys have way over 200' on your hose reels but do you use the hydraulic threaded couplers to join the several sections together or regular plug/couplers?

I just put on a hose reel that I had in storage and I have 200' on it and can put another 50' on it.

Just wondering how you guys do this. I know that the threaded coupler might be hard to disconnect later on but the plug/coupler will be a little easier, even if it is seized up.

I know some of you buy 100' or 50' sections and just add on until you get the length you want on the hose reels.

What are your connections you prefer?

I ask this question on another post without an answer. I'm curious. If you have 200' plus of hose on a reel and only use 100' or less does this not restrict the flow through the line? It seems the weight would hinder the flow especially on the water hose. What about ds ing with that much hose? Does it change the mix ratio at the injector?

Whether you have 100', 200' or 500' the water will push the water out but you have to remember that there is a rule of thumb that you lose around 130psi for every 100' of hose you have after the pump.

With all the bends, restrictions, etc... that will probably reduce the pressure some also.

With the downstream injectors, the longer the hose the less likely you will be able to downstream. Many people here say that the Super Suds Sucker will pull chems through 500' of pressure hose. I will be testing one soon to see if I like it and how long it lasts. It might last longer than some but we will see. I am willing to give it a try to find out.

Another problem people have is with the 8gpm or more machines getting a downstreamer to pull chemicals as that many more gpm's makes it a little harder to pull chemicals but again people have told me that the Super Suds Sucker will do the job.

Hope this helps.
