I’ve been thinking….. Look out this could be dangerous.

What if you took a cold p/w and added a commercial tank less instant hot water heater running on 220v?
I’ve already got a 15kw generator. Is this stupid or what? It seams cheaper than 1k for northern heater unit plus fuel to run said unit.

You have to look at the btu's a hot box puts out,and how hot the water gets .A tankless hot water heater is not designed to put out a large volume of hot water,it is designed to heat water to a lower temperature in a residential home.It is hard just starting out and putting the right commercial equipment together,I know I have been there .Keep your eye on ebay,I have seen hot boxes pop up there at decent prices. There are also some good deals on hotwater skid units on there when you are ready to upgrade.I would start a thread on here and some of the other bbs's asking if anyone has a hotbox they are looking to sell, maybe someone who has upgraded to a hot water skid unit has one sitting around and wants to sell it.I am not sure what type of work you are going to do,but some companys that clean hoods use cold water units with pump packings able to withstand the hotwater from the restaurants hot water supply(some guys turn up the thermostat on the restaurants hot water heater to get maximum heat, and turn it back down before they leave).
Good Luck
