Did it save you time? What was the advantage to you?

What method did you use to foam it? I have been practicing with the mean foamer, waiting for some Foam Booster to be shipped down here to get the mix just right.

I took an old foam fire extinguisher nozzle and mixed dawn foam and caustic..I adapted the nozzle to fit my pump up sprayer. The nozzle has a hole at the top side and hen a discharge hole ... I think it lets air in as you spray thru the other opening and this creates foam..

Not much advantage though the job still took me 2 hours.. Same as always...

The foam KILLS on "american" grease (burger joints and chicken grease) and does a much better job that straight caustic on chineese. I find is saves time since you are not scraping alot of systems that you would before ,not re-doing areas that would not come clean the 1st time as much and it does a great job getting corners and crannys clean (like the lips that hold the filters, around the link holders and on the pipework.

Foamed again last night with more sucess each application. The foam it 5 or whichever one delco is selling at the time does have advantages & disadvantages. Setup & tear down is definetly more. It works wonders in horozontal runs of duct. I see us using it more on big jobs than small. It just depends on the job. Talk to other other guys foaming will help you more than anything.

ordered a new foaming sprayer by solo,,$ 50.00

This afternoon at 2 pm I am going to clean yet another new account ... The country Fisherman.... I haven't seen it yet but it's a fish place and has not been cleaned in 3years.
The guy Cals me last week and says I don't care what it cost I need my hood cleaned. ??/ HMMMMM OK!!!

I am going to try some foam on the fish grease....
However i have heard the best way to clean chinese and fish restaurants is to burn them down and rebuild.. but since I don't have time for all that I guess I will just try the foam.

I was watching the BS Video Stuff on the Enviro-Clean thing and WOW you got to really trust those exhaust fan hinges.. In Mississippi we have restaurants with steep roofs like that but yet no hinged fans ... Believe it or not yours truley has actually dropped a fan 28 feet down a roof .. ( fans roll really fast) The fan hit the concrete and fell all apart .. I made $ 400.00 on the job .... The new fan cost me $720.00 and yes they also have a new hinge kit on me... Now someone else cleans it and it's a shame because the new hood cleaning guys don't even go on the roof...

Why would set up and tear down be that much more? I just need to pull an extra hose in with me, I mounted my 6CFM @ 90PSI 25 gallon compressor on my trailer and 200 ft of good quality air hose on a hose reel. If your wheeling a compreesor inside the restaurant then I could see it being a big deal...

Now that is style-you walk into a new account with a bandolier of Silver Bullets over your shoulder-the manager asks can I help you and you say " I Don't have to show you any stinking badges". Chris could do the same thing at the back door he could say "If they move kill them". This will set a trend.

John I think ya'll be disappointed with that Solo. I have on and it's crap! Also, check with Solo- they don't make anything suited to caustic use.
Call and talk with them yourself - maybe you'll find out more stuff. They have a site: http://www.solousa.com/

After eatting loads of greasey mexican food. Just take a couple grease bullet suppositories and BAM, no bloated feeling, clean bowels, and a fresh scent.

Now we know Russ's secret to staying slim and trim.

So lets see what happens .. I got a grease bullet from a buddy of mine.. I THINK HIS WIFE ORDERED some.. Now Sunday night I have a Burger King Hood cleaning ... I am going to try it out and see what happens ..... I will post photos.. at least by monday.... Tommorrow I have to clean a stucco building .. ( good ol mold and mildew ))) .. And tonight I have to go look at changing out some angled duct work , into making a straight duct work shot for the roof including new roof curb and new exhaust fan and one of my famous Grease catcher Systems.... I am so busy ...

Just got back today from spending $48.00 for 3 belts for my whitco machine and about $65.00 for plastic and the ever popular JoMAX....and Bleach...

By the way foam does NOT work on fish grease... The only thing I could get that sticky crap off with was a scraper and a heavy solution of caustic...
2 cups caustic to 2 gallons of water..
