flow and pressure switch placement

i just recently rebuilt my rig and russ johnson rebuilt my burner unit. the flow switch was mounted directly after the pump on the original configuration and the pressure switch was mounted on the in side of the unloader. so basically both switches are before the unloader. is there a standard for mounting these switches?

The pressure switch is fine either on the head of the pump or the unloader. The flow switch MUST be mounted between the unloader and the coil. If the flow switch is mounted before the unloader, the switch never sees a stop of flow because you're either flowing out the gun or through the bypass line.
