I am sure it will be discussed Kory but what about more on sales and marketing or just sales?
I have brought this up for other round tables and sometimes they talk about it and sometimes not.
My point is this, you can put all the ads, flyers, yellow page ads, line ads, websites, merchant circle stuff, etc... but when you are there in front of a customer and can't sell..................you are not getting the job, not making money and not feeding your family and paying the bills.
Not everyone out there is good at selling, especially me.
Everyone gets lucky, some more than others so I think that if a little time was set for selling it would be a great thing and help out a lot of people more than you think.
I know there is a lot more competition in Florida so you guys are on your toes and do what you can to get the calls, make the sales, do great work, etc....
I am thinking that the Florida market presents a unique market situation where you have to be good at selling or you are not going to make it or survive.
What about having a little bit of time from some of the guys to get up there and speak on selling.
I am not talking about someone getting up there and telling people to "Just be yourself", what good selling book to go get, what sales class they went to (not offered everywhere), Don't be like a used car salesman, etc... This is just common sense.
I am wondering if some of the guys there that are good at selling, confident on their selling ability enough to share their best without fear of their competitors there at the round table learning their best stuff would mind doing something like this. As far as I know, nobody at any round table has done something like this.
I understand if nobody wants to share their best selling tips and strategies because of the market there, just was wondering. It might bring some of the guys closer to being better friends and helping each other more.
If not then that is ok, maybe someday at a round table this might happen and really change things on how we do business, network with other companies and build that trust and confidence with each other.
Just my opinion.
Thanks.
