A little low on some of those...Day cab tractors I would say go between $9-15 and the Step vans I would say between $9-15 also. Not too far off though for fair size fleets in urban areas. The Job size will really dictate pricing as well as if recovery is required that can add between $2-6 a unit to compensate for the additional setup time and fuel etc.

Way too low, those are the lowballing, lowbidding hack prices that are ruining the industry.

We need to try to keep the prices where they should be so that we all make a profit so we stay in business and help our customers, otherwise the customers will keep on having to call everyone in the phone book or search forever online to find someone to wash their fleets as the last few guys went out of business charging too low of prices. We need to take care of our customers but also stay in business.

Those prices are likely from a company whose name is in the title, they are low for my service area.

Then there is the endless debate of "what is clean" vs. "what is actually clean" and what is the service being provided by the contractor and what is the consumer consider acceptable. This debate will continue on and on like many other topics.

prices vary from area to area. Some are low, but some are not. Garbage trucks, they are about right. We used to do them for $20. Cleared a 100 an hour per man. Considering we dont detail the trucks, thats just a standard wash. Chris, I know you get a GREAT price. Wish we could get that here.... 40ft trailer box for $15.00 is kinda low. I guess if you had a lot of them to do. We can knock those out really fast. $20.00 is about average on trailer for us. I know there is some guys out there that only get about half of what I do. So these prices may be right on for them. Just depends on your area.

I had guy who help me get started washing.Back in the mid 1980 s he is was getting the same prices that we are expected to wash for today.Thats ashamed but most of these companies do a 55 mph wash just clean the windshields good and brake lights lol.I guess you just have to find a happy medium and go with it .

I think that if a company is not locked in with FW and want a good quality wash and will pay for it then you have a great opportunity. If a company does not care about the appearance of the vehicles (some companies out there just don't care) then you don't have much to work with so a low quality/fast wash is ok with them.

Lances pricing is low. That is probably why he does not have one franchise still operating. Curious thing, in the cwg heyday i had the francjisees.calling me for.pricing.

With CMS we could use a Pricelist to our advantage. It will take a bit but we are installing a directory for members here for customers to find you and hire you,

bad thing is, that pricing isnt only on lances website. i guess some other people have took that info and ran with it. I'd love to see that crap removed from his website, along with delcos.

Scott please change them I want to use this on the CMS content ?"?

It has been a while since I was heavily involved in that game. I am not sure what the current pricing is here, and know it varies from location to location. Maybe Paul or Blane could help a little more.

Exactly, price will vary based on what the customer is willing to pay for as well. A day cab for example can go from as low as $15 to as high as $35, maybe slightly lower on a weekly schedule and with 30 or more on site. Fleets are a little different to price at a set level like a house, or deck would be priced (even those will vary). Kind of like hood cleaning, you would never price a Chinese restaurant at the same price as a pizza joint...Or a movie theater with a lot of gum at the same rate as a parking structure. If there is to be pricing it should be a wide range to fit the circumstances, but the prices you show are about as low as anyone can go and still make money with volume and a general 'corporate clean'.

I agree with the guys, sometimes you don't need to haul away the wash water where some places you do so you have to charge more when you are hauling away wash water.

Some places don't have water so you have to charge more to haul in water to do the job.

Some places you have to move trucks around to wash them on a mat or pad so you charge more.

Lots and lots of variables involved to do a blanket price list, maybe a spreadsheet would work on the website so they can plug in the variables and see what they would be paying, that would be a nice spreadsheet to have on the website or in a private area for customers only.
