Flat work Demo (video)

Hey Chris, I finally got the last proof today and it was all good.
The unit pushing that sweeper is a 8gpm gear drive 24hp honda hooked to a hot box rated at 8/10 gpm. The temp is set at 190 degrees. I never had grass turn brown on me from heat.
I am glad Shawn came through Nick :)

Gear drive huh ?
I know Chuck from Ameritech swears by them.
And some like belt drive ?
I think I would lean to direct drive, hate messin with belts.

That thing cleans like a mo fo, very fast, very well.

in 5 years, never messed with a belt.
So, you have direct drive too David ?
Our air compressors use belt drive, every 6 months or so, tighten belts, replace....

Amen to that.. If i can recommend one thing that will help you out in the field, it would be gear drive.

I have had belt drive for years, and it was the biggest pain in the a$$!!
Too much adjusting and slipping, also breaking and having to replace them when everthing is burning hot!!

I put alot of hours on my equipment, and i stand behind the gear drive everytime over the belt. Some say that it transmitts more heat to the pump, but if you keep an eye on your gear lube level and change it out when due, you will love this bullet proof set-up..I think it is pretty hard to get heat to trasfer over to the pump through 90 weight gear oil...of course this is just my opinion.

Nick, Chuck from Ameritech SWEARS by it.
I have a LOT of respect for Chuck, he has been doing this a LONG time.
He has thousands of direct drive units in the field.

Are the Pressure Pro Skids direct drive Nick , anyone ???

kinda makes sense, heat tranfers from metal to metal, such as a head bolted to an engine block. but if theres a liquid in between it disapates the heat through the oil, then the fins on the outside of the pump cools it. guess ill keep my direct drive for a while.
