SO. I was pressure washing today, applying my house wash with the low pressure setup and accidentally got some in an exposed electrical outlet... well long story short it started shooting flames about a foot long, I got electrocuted trying to put it out, called 911, couldn't get a hold of the HO.. but even after all that she paid me :D and she was very happy with the job when it was done. We're splitting the repair costs 50/50. It's just a new outlet and putting the siding the FD took off etc. Thank Goodness there wasn't a fire in the wall!
Lesson Learned.. LOOK FOR and tape off exposed Receptacles

We spray into them for fun when cleaning condensers. You just sprayed one with a bad temper. :p

Really though, I've never had that happen. You must have got it really good.

Must have been an old house. If it was equipped with a GFI that would never happen. If you had been electrocuted you wouldn't be posting this. Sorry I couldn't help myself. You had a good customer.

Good reminder for all of us.

Been there done that!!!

Ah, pictures, shoulda taken some for my 'journal of mishaps' ;)
Hahaha1 mIne was 3inches from the pool deck under an old window ac unit. I never even seen it. I blew out half the house along with an outlet supply that fed a pump for a pond full of KOI fish but thats another story. :(

I got it once when changing out a contact switch on an ac condesing unit. it sent me back about 8ft. Forgot to shut the power off....I never did that again... Yaaaweee!
