extra thick lichen.anything special to do??

But Doug, Jim's now on record telling lies, so is it really so far a stretch to think he'd use that method on purpose KNOWING it'll grow back quickly, therefore being able to charge them more often? I've seen people stoop lower to make a buck.

That said, nice job on that roof Doug.

This will go 'round and 'round,..lets discuss a more agreeable topic,... Lets see???

I use 500' of 1/4" hose for spraying roofs,..how about the rest of you!

*Also, a little trick I learned a long time ago,...put 90 degree elbows every 10 feet,..really helps when going around corners.

Im picturing an elbow every 10' would cause the hose to get caught on everything. How does this help Jeff?

Oh,.come on Ed,..I thought my post was obviously in jest?? 500' of 1/4" hose,..Ha,Ha,.. You must not have been around for the "Hose Wars" years.

And an elbow every 10',..Ha,Ha,Ha,....

Simply was trying to add a little levity to the conversation,..and see if anyone made the connection to the hose wars that never ended.

I knew what you were doing....I am also guessing there was a run on 90 degree elbows yesterday.

That's funny right there Jeff. 500' of hose with an elbow every 10' talk about pulling your hair out trying to pinpoint an air leak.

Yes,..and make sure to use hose clamps that are 5x too big so the tag end sticks out really far. That will help with aeration of the soil as you drag it around the customers' property.

I have an 8 and a 7 gallon machines to rinse. We used 2 pumps to apply solution on that house a bandit from bob . That was a long wide house. I have a 3.8 pump on a hand cart and fill a 25 gallon trash can for the solution for far away areas and to get more done . It's also the back up for break downs and what I used to use all the time .

it took 3 application to soak it . Then a test spot . Did one rinse. Reapplied an application . Rinse most off . Reapplied application again . Went and did other parts of roof . Rinse the bad section again . Reapplied solution again for final application . Went around house to clean up and back for final detailing of the area .

I was up against spray and pray guys and was way higher but I've done a few in the hood like that. I told the lady if you go with spray and pray guy pay the fee in installments 1/3 first day 1/3 after 3 weeks and the rest when it's gone or I'll get it done in one day. The installment thing works best .

With your tactics to push out the competition I'm lead to believe that you may have adopted this rinsing method simply to set you apart from the competition. Not because you truly believe it..... Personally, (no disrespect intended) telling customers that the way most everybody else does it is wrong and calling it "spray and pray" and telling them they should only pay 1/3 down 1/3 in a few weeks and 1/3 when it's all clean....... Or (here comes the superhero to save you) I can do it all in one day! Just REALLY rubs me the wrong way. I personally couldn't take pride in tearing someone's character down (knowing that their method works) and making them seem like THEYRE the crook who is taking advantage of the customer when in reality it's YOU who is manipulating them to believe these other "spray n pray" guys are scam artists and that you are the only one who knows up from down.... Even though you are taking a chance with damaging they're roofs.
I understand trying to set yourself apart from the pack, but I don't agree with your methods.
Again, I meant no disrespect, I just couldn't bite my tongue on that one.

Jeff caught me napping as it all went directly over my head.

I figured as much Ed,..I know you've been around long enough to know about the hose wars,.. and also the fact that 1/4" hose would never be used by anyone here,..let alone elbows every 10'. Yea,..I think you were sleeping,..Ha,Ha,..

Great on-point responses y'all.
