I’m researching this option, is anyone familiar with this market. I know that some HVAC company’s offer this type of service, but it seems to be very limited basis around here and not pushed much. My aim is to add a local unit to do something to capture local business and target the residential portion. Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated very much. One option that I have considered for equipment is found at rotobrush.com. They have marketing and training programs available that may be reasonable to startup.
Thanks mikey,
PS don’t get me wrong, I have plenty of work in Hoods. I would hire someone to manage this one.

I have a van setup for chimneys with August West equipment, and Airducts with Atlantic Engineering Negative air Equipent, complete with ChimScan video inspection systems.I have not started with these services fulltime yet as I am in the process of getting certified and bringing my stepson into it.As Matt said ,it can be very lucrative, but it depends on your area,as far as residential, and some areas are saturated with blo and go lowballers doing shoddy work for next to nothing,or bait and switch artists who get in with a low price and jack it up with add ons.I would do your research as you did on vent hood cleaning,as there is alot to learn with airduct cleaning if you want to do it right.Becareful of flashy marketing by companies like Rotobrush,it works on some systems but not all.The Delco duct cleaning bbs is a good place to learn,it is pretty active, and www.ductcleaners.org is another good site.I think Dave Olsen cleans airducts,I remember him posting about it,maybe he can add his thoughts.
