Sorry MTNGOAT I dont do much if any editing but I had to pull a few choice words from your last post.
I'm sure you understand

I took it a step futher and pulled one more word. Let's keep it professional, please.

Getting back to the topic at hand, the "greasers" have always had an active home here at PWI and you are all certainly welcome to continue that.

In addition to that, my new bulletin board will also have a place for KEC discussions. That board will allow advertisers, however will not cater to their every whim like some boards do. If an advertiser is looking for control over the boards content, they will be directed to adversise somewhere else.

I worked very hard over the winter setting up this new board and researching aspects of it. My intent was to open it in early spring, however the weather turned warm here a bit early and things got too busy with my business to devote any further time to developing that board, therefore I have done nothing with it as of yet. It has not interfered with my running of this board, because I have devoted no time to it since early March.

Getting it up and running is not something I can do in the very near future, but perhaps in a couple of months. It is a customized board with lots of "hacks" and custom programming to do things standard boards do not. It is on a different server then PWI, by the way.

???????????????????????????????????

More BS that needs to be adressed.

Dear Mr. Sissy Goat,

I've never done or said anything to you. I've never taken your business away from you (I don't live anywhere near PA) or called you names (until now). Funny how I use my real name, real email address and real name of my company. Whereas you have used 4 different names for your company, which isn't listed anywhere in any phone book. You attack me on numerous boards because I have the GALL to invite you to join the CHDCA. I retract my invitation to join the CHDCA, you are forever banned as ever being allowed to join.

My ideas may be different, but that doesn't keep me from cleaning 2 restaurants a night by myself, improving my knowledge, and realizing that I don't know everything. What I do know is that I've built an association from scratch with over 80 members from Canada, United States and England, while you've done absolutely nothing for this industry.

I've joined the NFPA 96 committee so that I can directly influence future codes and have a direct voice for our members.

I've encouraged from day one to EDUCATE people how to do this properly and have encouraged certification as a means to standardize what it means to be certified. I've created and implemented standards to improve this industry.

All I get from you is how unfair it is that I be allowed to talk.

Obviously the only people that have posted on my forum is me, because I just finished setting it up about 3 hours ago. It takes a little while for the interest to be generated to drive traffic to a new online forum/bulletin board.

So you can take your back woods, can't even spell my name right and go back home. I don't care if you've cleaned hoods for 18 years and have forgotten more about cleaning hoods than I've ever learned. It's people like you that have driven people away from this bulletin board.

Russy Bark.I'm still trying to figure out how you BS'ed thse 80 people into the business when at the time of your start you hadnt even cleaned a hood.
Almost sounds like fraudulant activity. You have talked crap about me and have had your goons harass me with e mail and hang ups.

Real name - If I want you to know my name I'll tell you. The ananimity keeps you and your goons and those who have less than honest intent from contacting me and my family. Those that I have respect for know my name aparently you did not make that list.

Yellow pages- Dont need an ad.Never did, gained my business by actually doing it! and word of mouth, Hell, you dont need a yellow page add to make money in this business.
Those that shop the yellows are looking for "cut throats" people who will do the job for less the first time around and then jack it up next time around.

Different names- Yep. Different names for different locations. Some people identify with a different name in different geographic locations.

Invite me to join cdhc- Why on God's green earth would I want to do that?
pay you for something that I,ve been doing for 14 years.More BS talk.

Banned from the abcd or whatever it is, OH no what ever shall I do, I dont get to give you some of my money for some of your fast fast talking.

Done nothing for the Industry- More BS Who do you think has tried to educate the AHJ's in my back yard. Sure wasnt you and yours.Your people are benefitting from my 14 years of hard work in the field dealing with the restaurant owners, insurance companys, code inforcement, fire marshalls Etc.
Pretty much anyone that has to do with this business in one way or another.
Phil Ackland- You aint! Although I see you freely use his paraphanelia.

Clean two reataurants a nite- Doubt you get "the belly" of the couch for even the remote control.

NFPA- anybody who is a card carrying member of the nfpa has the ability for input.

You have created standards and and implemented them.-Thats funny we were doing fine before you came along.Taking credit for those before you? More BS.What standards have you implemented? We are dying to know.

Unfair for you to be able to talk- Your track record as far as being believable
is less than adequite. Just read through some of the other posts on this and other boards where people have called you out for your statements.

Forum- OK i'll give you that one. Not enough time for people to react to the new forum.(i must be feeling generous)

Back Woods- Darn straight CITY BOY. You couldn"t hadle it out here in the sticks. This place would eat you alive.I'm not walking around out here with my belly hanging over my belt. This is no place for "Flat Landers"
as we call em. They come up here and buy homes and after the first winter or two they put a for sale sign on the house and run back to the city and cry to the other flat landers about how tough it is up here. :p

Cant spell name correctly- Whats your name again? :D Not worth remembering.

People like me driving members away- Its people like me who are here to keep people like you from taking there hard earned dollar. And to let them know that you are not the only game in town.
You want to be a hood cleaner? Here is a link for you. http://search.netscape.com/ns/boomf...Page=NSCPTop&remove_url=http://www.ikeca.org/

A. I've never called you, although you called me and left a nasty message on my voice mail.
B. I've never threatened you in anyway.
C. No goons have ever been sent to get you.
D. This started when I invited you to join, and you overreacted thinking I was taking your business (still don't understand this one).
E. You've never listened to me or anything that I've had to say accurately.
F. I am one person on a team that has been training for 12 years (although I haven't been personally training people that long). We've actually trained 96 people, but since I've been on the team, we have trained 83.
G. I am, have always been, a redneck from Mississippi. I was born and raised around your type. If it wasn't for my dad's swift kick in the butt to make something of myself, I'd be just like you.
H. Why are you fighting with me?
I. I have no idea who you are? Tim Cotter is the name that you have used in some of your posts before.
J. You seem to have a hypersensitive paranoia and have focused your energies on me as being the antichrist in your world.
K. What is your problem?
L. This is EXACTLY why I don't post on this forum.
M. We will just have to agree to disagree, because you posting negative posts about me isn't helping.
N. This thread was about starting a hood cleaners only bulletin board, and that is what I have tried to keep the conversation to, as well as do something about.
O. You don't like me, that's obvious, but you also don't know me and have never met me. You are basing your opinions on a few posts that you so far haven't been able to remember accurately.
P. You seem to have a problem with someone actually paying money to learn how to do something. According to your theory, I guess that all schools, colleges, tech schools, etc. should close for business. How dare they charge money to teach something that you can go down to the library and figure out yourself without anyone showing you how to do it.
Q. I'm glad you've been cleaning hoods for 14 years. You started in 1990, my boss, the lead instructor who actually does the teaching in the field started in 1992, and I started in 2001. I don't teach the hood cleaning aspect of the course. You don't seem to realize this.
R. That's funny, I didn't see your name printed in the front of the NFPA 96 manual the last time I looked.
S. What is your name?
T. What is the name of your company?
U. It seems awfully easy for you to hide behind a user name such as mtngoat without giving any real information.
V. L-I-T-H-I-U-M it's good for you to take on a regular basis. Just remember to have your levels checked by a physician.
W. This is the last time I will respond to any post that you make.
X. It's been real fun.
Y. Hope that this little infusion of conversation has helped PressureWashingInstitute get the kitchen exhaust cleaning forum going again.
Z. Last things Last.

So Chris, I thought I would be No. 1. Instead I am No. 2. Hmm, I been called that before.

Rusty, I do not trust you, I have seen too much bull-shit from you in the past. So has Mtngoat, and the rest of us who have been on the boards prior to your arrival. However, I am trying to maintain an open mind. I will watch and see, but I will call you on any lies or misleading info on your board. If want to ban me, it is your board so do what you want to.

I will start removing posts if they fail to be productive or not interesting to other readers. Take your personal attacks private. We dont need diatribe here.

Well supposedly russy is introcucing a company into my back yard.
Via the delco site. Now you tell me the post there wasnt deliberate.
This is typical of there way of doing things.
This guy would wait until I posted a thread on a board and then would continue to purposfully irritate for some board presence and free publicty.
Lets see how you like them when they find your back yard.
Your customer base in California is so vast you may not feel the dent.
We dont have that kind of market here.
I feel this man is dangerous in more ways than one. He will deliberatly put a post on a board directly after I have posted.
This is done to harrass and nothing more.
After the grilling he has recived for his business practices and you still allow him in!

There are many who dislike his ways and means of business.
I ask those that do not like what he has done to respond to this board
and voice your opinions.

Here is the post in question. http://www.dcs1.com/dcs1boards/messages/detail.cfm?ID=8691&Board_ID=2

This is what hes been doing to me all along. Previously he has had his goons send me email and my phone would ring twice then when I would answer they would hang up.Harrasment fast talking and scare tactics is what they like.Someone from a fictisious place of business would call and start asking me my rates. You have had this happen to you i'm shure, you can tell when someone is for real. This would always coincide with having interaction with him on the boards.
He even went as far as sending me an e mail telling me that he had a internet specialist look up all my posts and they were trying to find out my real name and phone number. Why would someone be so intersted in my name phone number and whereabouts? It has gotten to the point where its creepy. I consider this man to be a danger to me and mine.you and yours will be next once they set there sites on your back yard!
Peolple like him is why I do not freely post my personal information on the web. At one time he had his personel internet expert find anything they could about me and posted my personal information on the board. This kind of behavior is not forgivable or professional.I wish the head moderator of this boad would contact me at this time via my e mail,so I may conversate with you privately. With that said I'm sure fast talking Russ will try to talk to you before I do and assainate my charecter even more.
What a Dirtbag.

It sounds like kyle is a recent graduate of rusty's school and just happens to be in your area. I doubt that he moved there to edge in on your territory. Contact Kyle, and send him some of the jobs you dont want, it will keep him busy and away from your bread and butter. Remember this is not the first newbie in your area and it wont be the last. We get new companies popping up all the time in Southern California, some are around for 6 -12 months, a couple make it a year or two, but most are long gone before 3 years. Besides it is good for business to have competition, it keeps you on your toes, keeps prices in check, and gives you something to laugh about when you run into some of thier jobs.

Dear Mtn,

Thanks for pointing out the post from Kyle. Unfortunately, Kyle has never been through our training. There is no company by that name that has ever been trained by us. We have no one in the area that you have described. In fact, I have no one in my ACT database with the first name of Kyle that has ever called me from anywhere.

The reason that I am trying to find out who you are is because you have threatened me using my voice mail, email, as well as libel in public forums across many bulletin boards.

You seem to think that I shouldn't be able to respond to your lies and call you on them. You just want to say whatever comes to the front of your noodle and then expect them to shut me down for saying something about it.

And even if we did train someone in your area, your customers are so loyal to you that they will use you till their restaurants burn down anyway, so it's a mute point.

If you want to know who works with us, then go to our CHDCA website and look under the members section under your state and you'll see the company that we work with. Note that I say work with. I don't own them, I don't tell them how to run their business, I don't extract money from them, I help them.

This forum is for kitchen grease exhaust cleaners to help others. Now this particular thread has veered off of that course from a simple inquiry into whether a hood cleaners only bulletin board would be a good idea.

From my point of view, a place for greasers to meet and talk is the only natural thing. For too long we have been grouped in with the pressure washer guys because we happen to use a pressure washer.

I for one am all for the idea and will endeavour to help those that proceed with this project, whether it be the site that I have built, or if somone else takes the time to set up a website.

Glad to see Rusty is back, thought he'd left the biz. Rusty is always good for a stir and we each need one now and then. Mountain Man, someone is yanking your chain and you are letting them. By the way, Rusty what happened to your nursing? Did you quit the profession to clean hoods?

Inquiring Mind

No I still pull a shift or two now and then. They pay too much not to. It's hard to turn down $40/hr for 12 hours easy work. Usually the ER, but on occasion the ICU's.

I've been full time hood cleaning since March/April of this year.

I find it's quite enjoyable and rewarding knowing that I have done an excellent job and that the customer is happy. Not to mention it pays really good.

And for inquiring minds, I don't teach the hood cleaning part of the course. I teach the theory, fire codes and certification aspects of the course. I'm just 1 of 3 instructors here at the ol ACS.

I help our network get new business and act as a gateway for national contracts/ and sub-contracting as it comes along.

We're adding new members on a monthly basis and it is a very exciting time to be in this industry.

I was talking with one of our members that we trained last year and since July they've averaged $1000 a day, have just bought a new home, and are buying a new van to clean hoods with. It's exciting to hear when someone that you've trained succeeds and their lives are changed for the better.

I know a lot of hood cleaners feel like they clean hoods because for whatever reason it's their lot in life. But for those of us who specifically choose this line of work as our career it's very rewarding.

I drive around town at night and I think how lucky I am to be doing this.

Now I have to admit, sometimes it's not necessarily something to write home about, but in general it's very rewarding.

I've wiped enough butts to last me a lifetime. At least with hood cleaning I don't have to worry about getting shit all over my clothes.

This is a load! Hes getting more free publicity for his business.
Bullshit!
He knows full well who posted the delco message.

"At least with hood cleaning I don't have to worry about getting shit all over my clothes." Russell Clark

Rusty, I think you'll find it's a different kind of excrement! Especially the oriental stuff and we routinely get it on our clothes. It smells, too.

I think you can both agree to disagree in a professional manner!

When I say shit, I mean human feces. After dealing with that for a number of years, the grease may smell like it, but you know that it isn't.

I'm cleaning an OCharley's roof today that has a giant grease pond on their roof and they want it cleaned (already cleaned the grease exhaust system) so they can fix the roof.

Imagine if you gave an elephant super laxatives and let him loose on the roof till he finished. That's about what it smells like.

Then we've got to install a grease containment system and fix the way their fan drains the grease. They've got a 2-3" copper pipe with a electrothermal wire running down it (to keep the grease warm and liquid) to a pan in the kitchen. Very ineffective.
