What is the average life of your attachment equipment hoses, downstream injectors, guns, turbo nozzles, surface cleaners and etc... years/hours

I'm having bad luck with downstream injectors (Yes we clean them after every use). Pumps are running at about 1500 -2000 psi, I keep them turned down less stress on pumps and engines. If I need to go get the other 2000 psi its waiting. But my injectors are only lasting about a week/36 hours of use. At $40 a pop that adds up. Any recommendations?

Extension Wands/next problem/around 100 hours
 
Guns I usually get half season and rebuild. I use the Suttner easy-pull.

My Dirt Killer turbo has lasted 4 years and going strong less the plastic cover.

Hoses about 2 years +/- . I get ends repaired until a section fails too often.

Extension wand? You talking about a yellow noodle? Mines lasted 5 years cause it sits in the garage and never gets used. You can have mine.

Injectors.... some of mine last forever and I never take care of 'em and some crap out after a few weeks. I'll pm you a good source.
 
I'm assuming you are turning down your pressure with your unloader. Set that with a pressure for full pressure and leave it alone. Otherwise you are losing water flow. Get you some jrods and a selection of various larger orifice nozzles to give you different pressures. I'll start a new thread on this tomorrow.
 
Hose life is very dependant on what type of washing you do. Just cold water and little pulling with no chems and the hose can last for many years. I have some hoses that last a year or two, others I am lucky to get a couple months out of. I don't typically run the PSI up, when I do I find the hoses blow more often and quicker. I do parkades that require long runs of hoses typically in the spring months and I am switching to thermoplastic hoses for those reels. I find if you leave a steel braided hose sitting that has had water through it the rust will eat away from the inside and takes the life out of the hose quickly.

Guns, I use the easy pull's as well, last a long time if you don't drop them, but eventually they all leak.

Turbo nozzles, put a filter on them and they last a lot longer then without. Don't drop these either, it also can damage them pretty quick.

Extension polls, I rarely use them but I just picked up the hydrotek one. I don't expect to ever replace it, maybe the gun, but never the poll.

Your best defence for pumps, guns, nozzles is to have a clean water supply and good filters before the pump to catch any sand.

My extension wands where in the garage also, I will post a couple of photos of how I put together this $200 cleaning beast. Saved me 1 day man lift rental so I have put them back to use. I consider them ladders, gets me about 5 stories from the ground.

Have used the Super suds sucker it wasn't any different to me than a cheaper fixed injector. For the money I like the General Hi Draw. I buy 4 or 5 at a time just to keep spares. One may last 6 months the next one may last a month.
There is a Suttner variable injector that I might try that bypasses the orifice somehow when you don't want to inject soap. That may be nice instead of having to pull the injector out of the line. There is also an AR injector with ceramic orifice that I bet would last a long time. ...Wish someone could combine the two and come up with a really great injector.
 
I had one with the ceramic ball when I first started I have been looking for one like that for two years. Used it for a year with no problems.

Yeah I've got a couple of those ceramic balls that I save and put in my new injectors that don't have ceramic. I think one big problem with older injectors that lasted a long time then quit is the orifice erodes out and just loses too much pressure difference to draw.

Anyway injectors are a money maker and relatively cheap. I just consider them a wear part and always keep extras.
 
Guns and Chem Injectors - Rebuild them about once a year. Hoses - Use them till they pop, then put new ends on them and do it again. Hose reel swivels - about 2 yrs. My quick connects seem to give me the most problems.. I've tried them all. Stainless and brass. Stainless are definitely better but still a pain.
