Getting crap in my face, one eye at a time. I keep saying on these bad pads that I need to get some safety glasses, and keep forgetting!!

Mike what chemical did you use to get the grease up?

Caustic with some dwell time. Disposed of all the surface grease with a flat shovel, then sprayed the caustic & cleaned.

I always wear a respiratory, gloves, hat, and safty glasses, when doing a dumpsters.

Yeah, I wear the respirator, chemical gloves, and my regular perscription glasses. Gonna get the safety goggles.

Awesome!

Very nice! I bet the customer was haapy to see that! The first time is always tought but if you get them on a maintence it is a eaiser the next times.
I hate dumpsters! I wont do one. Chris has to do them. they make me wanna :barf:

I wear none of that, I do put on my shirt though. You really can spray a dumpster, into a corner whatever and never get splashed - it's 80% technique and 20% wishfull thinking. The mist falling down everywhere, that just keeps your immune system in shape.

haha! I've had the acid rain caustic mist. It feels good! NOT!! I say better safe than sorry.

Me too! Some smell like sewer!!

I've tried several "name brand" degreasers from well known pw companies. They work fine if you use alot without diluting it too much.

I haven't used anything that works as good as caustic, and here's another plus... it costs way less!

Great job on the dumpster area.

Have you had the chance to walk away with a red glow on your skin?......FUN!:banghead:

On a side note, I've been thrown into a few more dumpster cleanings......:fie:

A few nights back I was throwing plastic and grease into dumpster, spilled a little on the pad. Wipe it up and left a clean shadow. then got a call the next day from a really pissed off unknown cat apparently he cleaned the pads just prior to me cleaning the hoods. So anyway this is the same cat trying to take hoods from me.

So get this the guys says to me if I show him what products and technical I use, he'll hold off on taking most my business......hahahahahaha I had some choice words....he got more pissed and is now going to run me out:dance:
So I got off the phone with him and made one call and picked up 18 dumpsters (that he services) and then hoped back on the phone with dumb sh*t.......Advised him I took some work off his hands so he can focus on running me out.......:eek:fftopic::yeah:
