Drive Thru Pads !!!

Hey guy`s. I`m trying to clean a drive thru pad @ a local fast food restaurant. I`ve already used a de-greaser, brushed it in w/ a stiff bristle brush and rinsed pretty good w/ my wand (also hit it w/ my flat surface cleaner). NO DICE!! Hardly look`s like I was even there.
I used a product fron ZEP, but it didn`t work very good I guess (sorry zep). DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS??? What`s the best product you guy`s can recommend for cleaning oil/grease spots?
I know I won`t be able to get them completely out............right?
Would my expectations be too high to think I can get it to look somewhat new?
Just some specs: 5gal./min.- 3000psi hot water unit
24" Steel Eagle flat surface cleaner
THANK YOU!!

A CAUSTIC DEGREASER WORKS WELL FOR ME, SOMTIMES WHEN ITS REAL BAD GREASE I USE IT STRIGHT OR 50/50, YOU MAY HAVE TO REPEAT 2 OR 3 TIMES , YOU CAN MAKE IT LOOK GREAT IF YOU TRY.

IF THE GREASE IS , LIKE 1/2" OR THICKER , YOU MAY WONT TO USR A TURBO NOZZLE FIRST AND THEN DEGREASER, THE CONCRETE.

MAKE SURE YOU CHARGE FOR THE EXTRA TIME AND DEGREASER!

WASH ON DUDE!;)

Often the best you can do is to remove the oily dirt that is stuck to the top of the oil spot and maybe lighten the stain up, it will look better but not new. Surface cleaning is not my bread and butter, maybe someone else can offer some help.

I hear toilet bowl cleaner in liquid form works well for bring the whiteness back to life..... But then im a rookie who just posted about bays in full service auto repair shops....But just being in small area might be affordable...

If you used Zep Purple I have had good luck mixing it 1 gallon of Zep to 4 gallons of water. Spray this on with a pump up sprayer and give it 10-15 minutes dwell time. If the grease is real heavy I would scrape it up first than apply the degreser. Follow up with a soap and beach solution. You will likely end up with a stain but no more oil and grease. I guess thats what before and after pics are for!

Thank you timhays for helping rookie out of ia....Little things like this puts change in pocket..Again thank you!

That caustic degreaser you use, do you spray it first and let it dwell or is it the kind of product you load in your presure washer chemical tank ?

while were talking,,,,, what type or brands(specific) of caustic degreaser would you recomend??? And who has a good inexpensive source of supply for oxalic acid ???

ron p

try www.chemistrystore.com for oxalic acid
for the pads you should gamble the $85 to e-spec for some MR MUSCLE. It's non caustic.
if you want caustic, why not try the hd80 from beth?
the mr. muscle is non caustic and phosphate free so its better on the envrioment.

concrete

Give Zep Big Orange a try. I used it to remove a spray painted smiley face in the rear of a restaraunt sidewalk. If did'nt do a good job on smiley but did make the concrete look real good. I tried it on some bad stains on the disposal pad and it did a real good job. I mixed it in a pump up and let it sit about 10 to 15 min.

They are still in business
