Download Problem?

Is it me, or are the downloads very slow on PWI? It seems to take up to a minute to load anything I do? I don't have this trouble on any other site? If I post, It sometimes goes into a blank page? If I refresh it usually works? Thank You.
 
Terry, I have had the same problem for a week or so.

Next complaint... whenever I'm reading a long thread, or click a link and then comeback and click the "new Post" botton, its like something has timed out and it says "no new post". I know I can click the 24 hour thing but I still lose some new post. Is it something that I can change or just the way it is?

Keep in mind PWI run on no ones money, Russ is volinteering time and trying his best. We are giving him some help, hes been sick as a dog for a couple days now. grant ran maint today and we are putting in some new features.

This bbs has more options open and often we sacrifice speed for allow e-mail and PM non stop. Others restrict the traffic or directories which make them faster.
 
How long are you logged in for when it refreshes and says no new posts?

As David said anytime you go to link and then come back the new post are gone. If reading a thread that goes more than 2-3 minutes when you go back to new post they are gone and in the upper right it says you last visited x minutes ago.
 
I have been watching this closely and it has not happened to me. Are you noticing this happen from the New Posts page or from the forum home page?

When I log on, first thing I do is hit the New Post button. Then after reading a post I try to use the New Post again, some time I can get back to the new posts, most of the time not, Then I just use the browser back button
 
Is anyone still haveing problems here? It seems everything is slow. Like too much info? If I post it doesn't refresh properly? Any other problems? Thank You.
 
I too use the new post button, but I dont use it again. I use back or when I am about to click to view a new post I hold down Cntl so that the new post appears in a new window, when I am done reading that post or thread I close it and I am back to the original listing of new posts.
