Does Hood Cleaning Liability Coverage ?

Does the liability insurance supplied by your carrier, ie. John Walters, cover installation and liability for installing access panels ? Or do we have to purchase additional insurance. Is there training available for the different ways to cut the multitude of materials thats ducts are made of? If the ducts are insulated, and we have to remove a section of that insulation, and there was a fire, would we be held liable even if we put the cut out section back? We did violate the integrety of the sheets of insulation. What if the duct has insulation that looks like plaster but may actually be asbestos?
Just wondering.

I would say yes to about all if i were on a jury.

Its crazy that the building code does not require in contruction to have the access panel built in.

How many contractors build them correct? Do any of them get built with the access panal?

I have seen some done prior to installation. Unfortunately the access panel side of the duct was put in up against the wall. OMG.

HERE IS ANOTHER THING ABOUT INSTALLERS I FIND INTERESTING.
How many fans have we come across without a grease pan and without hinges. Most of them. I went to an installer to buy a grease pan for a customer and SUPRISE SUPRISE ! He has shelves of them. All the ones his guys never put on. No one seems to check the installers. They like to say that it was installed up to code. LOL
