Ok some greasers that use caustic soda may know this .. I wear a cap when I clean vent hoods, because if you get caustic in your hair and then get home and wash your hair with shampoo your hair will stink like rotten eggs for a few minutes..... I hik it has something to do with the caustic and shampoo chemicals mixing...

Ball cap here too. LSU or Quality Mobil Wash hat just when I work to keep the soap out of my eyes.

Or more precisely a broad brimmed hat. The reef thread got me thinking. I wear a broad brimmed hat year round. It keeps the sun off my noggin, and keeps me cooler. It also prevents sunburn. No but i have worn a broad as a hat once..

Variety of different ball caps. Like Ron, I dont wear one when dressed up or sleeping. Other then that I always have one on.
