Do you tell customer your Competitors Suck?

Bashing your competition actually can inflate their value to the client. If you are so threatened by them that you need to resort to those tactics you've already lost. I see this more and more in the window cleaning community. A manufacturer or supplier may engage in what I describe as negative advertising. Some will fall for it but most realize that it's simply that they don't have as good a product as they want you to believe. If your product or service can't stand on it's own merits then you have a bigger problem than you competition.
