Fried lice you plick.

I'd bid that one at about $1900 and some change to make 'em think you didn't pull a number out of the air.

David you can have it for $1900 but you have to remove the birds.
Just give me 15% :D

That first picture requires oil booms, tanker trucks and billions to clean up doesn't it. LOL I thought it was a picture of the EXXon Valdez at first.

I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.

Oh that was just gross......my hat is off to you exhaust cleaning guys - I'd never eat out again if I did that :)

Celeste

Most of us full service exhaust cleaners have sworn off eating out. Not so much from the nasty grease we clean but rather the goings on in the restaurant kitchen and the cleanliness. I can honestly say if you want to live to a ripe old age never eat at an oriental restaurant.

For me it is the small mom and pop Asian restaurants you have to avoid.
Also any type of Asian buffet place.
They are "for the birds". :D

Did you get close enough for that picture?
Were you doing an autopsy?

Is oriental grease is the stuff they put on those sticky rat traps? We lost all of our scrapers in the first oriental job we did, from then on we chained to ourselves before we started working, but a OSHA guy came around and told us that was to dangerous because if the scraper got stuck and we were chained to it we may die there. Oh I hadn't thought of that! So now we mostly just avoid them.

I just zoom in...I see dead birds stuck in the grease all the time - not just Chinese places.
What a horrible death!!

Makes you wonder how long they flop around before they give up.

We cleaned a place a few weeks ago. He said they had a problem with birds in the ducts.

We were cleaning a college over Christmas break. The school was shut down for a week. Taking out the filters I found a live Pigeon behind there. The hood goes into a plenum and then straight up 25'. I have no idea how it got in there. It seemed pretty docile to me, so I grabbed it with a towel and took it outside. It kind of stretched its wings and took off. Obviously not a Homing Pigeon, it was lost!

We use pigeons to pass out business cards.....sometimes they don't make it back.

David Lee-
I know what your saying about sanitation in some of these places.
Family and friends are always asking me about the conditions of one place or another.
Worst place I ever encountered. Chinese-Imagine that.
We had confused the rice with the maggots.
Goat.

Anyone still order bacon with their eggs??? I hope not!

Lots of places I see pre-cook their bacon and pile it up - when I was cleaning hoods at night I remember seeing the bacon plates sitting there uncovered all night long.....
Scary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
