diesel fuel filter

I keep getting clogged fuel filters every 20-30 hours of use. Is there something new with diesel that's causing clogging? Does the soot remover clog it? Never had this problem before

The soot remover won't clog a filter. Better take a look in your tank and see if you've got crud in there.

I agree drain the tank there is probably a bunch of junk in there.

There is a additave the will eat the algea that grows in diesel tanks.

John if you burn thru more than a tank of diesel a week you dont have algae its probably crud in the tank. pump as much fuel out as you can then vacumn out the tank. I assume your talking about your burner tank. if its your truck tank good luck.

If your tank is metal it might be time to change to plastic.You might want to change over to kerosene for a more cleaner approach.I changed over when i got a new hot box and seems to be doing good.

bio diesel fuel will clean out your tank
the crud in the tank will end up in your filter
filters are 10 mircon

additives commonly contain alcohols,
alcohols "help" water to mix with oils (..diesel fuel in this case),
so if you added a bunch of additive recently,
you might have an increase in muddy-stuff floating around the tank,
that was "stuck " at the bottom of the tank before.
