Delevan Pump Question

Here is a easy to read chart that shows pressure loss.
What Squirt says is partially true.
The lower the GPM of a pump, the less of a factor the loss is.
However, one can see how much pressure you are losing with a 100 foot length of 3/8 or 1/2 inch hose vs 5/8.
Even at 2 Gpm.

When I first started in 1999 the local pressure washing store set me up with a surflow pump 45 psi 3.0 psi and 200 feet of 3/8 hose for roof cleaning. They also told me the secret formula for cleaning roof with out pressure, chlorine 40%, water 60% and soap. I used this set up for five years cleaning one and two story roofs with no problems, I always rinse my pumps after use and got six to eight months life out of a pump. Five years ago I upgraded to a udor tua 35, 10 gpm 500psi and 1/2" hose. I like the electric pumps better, 10 gpm can be hard to control run off but great on a large roof.

1/2" hose is all I can imagine anyone needing, I find it hard to believe you could notice a difference using 5/8" hose.
