JL Pressure Washing
I think they should do away with the list all-together.
Ya I was thinking the same thing. Its different in all areas
I think they should do away with the list all-together.
I know that when I started people laughed at me when I used those prices.
I dont think thats why they were laughing
maybe my fly was down?
I don't think there is anything positive giving a price list. Guys call me constantly asking me "What should I charge?" This is the easiest thing I do. Pricing YOUR work is easy once you KNOW YOUR numbers. Every Market is different and everyone of us puts a different value on our time.
A list like this only could get a guy into a financial bind if taking the numbers seriously. It could put a company in a loss situation versus being profitable. Some of those numbers would put me at a loss due to my Salary requirement.
Vent-a-Hood:
$10.00 to $20.00 per hood linear foot plus $40.00 to $60.00 per fan.
Minimum charge: $100.00 to $250.00
Double the above prices for Oriental Restaurants. (Caution: Some restaurants personnel lose their ability to speak English when it gets time to collect the invoice!)
Access panels: $55.00 to $75.00 each
Give a discount for scheduling during the day as most work is done at night. Or a discount for scheduling during your off hours as most work is done from 10:00 pm until 4:00 am.
Charge extra for the first time cleaning.
Charge extra if they are being forced to clean (citation from the Health Department) as it is probably very bad..
Are You kidding me !!!!!!!!! This must be for the guy that drivesthe 20 year old van, with the cold water machine and a scrub brush and no Insurance.. Man I dont know about this but if thats all Delco expects you to make (YOU WILL GO BROKE ) Better look for a cardboard box to live in... Also many of my customers know that when I clean the hoods its done right .. I guess a 200.00 dollar charge would be ok if you just cleaned the inside.. But who wants a halfway job... My smallest job that I do every 3 months is a 6 foot hood , with one fan $310.00 .... And thats still cheap considering my cost with fuel and all supplies to be $30.00... I figure with insurance and all you need to average $ 75.00 to $100.00 an hour..
