Delavan Question

I'm adding a new Delavan 5800 in my box truck, actually re-configuring the whole truck (3rd time in 3 yrs). Anyway, My hose reel stack will be 3 high with the top reel holding 5/8" hose for the Delavan. I have room to mount the pump on the same plate as the reel and was going to just use a 55 gal poly barrel to pull from. I figure with the bungs:)D ) on top, no worries about leaks with the strong chlorine mix. Since I'll be pulling chem through the top of the barrel, will the Delavan have enough pull to get chems up 3 feet. or will that be too taxing on the pump?

It will pull.

Yes, like Thad said Mike, it will pull.
You are wise to keep it as CLOSE as possible to the feed tank.
I see you have been doing your homework with the 5/8 hose and pulling from the top of the tank.
Some mount the Delevan upside down, so when it's off chem runs away from the valves.
More a problem on a left open bulkhead I think.
