Hi from Ireland,
I am looking for some advise on the cyclone lp4500
How good is it ,does it clean as effectively as demonstrated online
Basically "Does it do what it says on the tin " and what sort of price are they?
I currently run three truck mount systems from The masters touch AZ here in Ireland and feel the cyclone would be an advantage over competitors .
They are Not in Europe yet either and I could be the first in Ireland to use them
Thanks or Cead a mile failte
Eoin;)

It is a very unique machine, i like it for certain applications. The last price tag I was given was around $90,000 USD. The cons is on super dirty surfaces the filtration unit causes the surface cleaning output to drastically drop.

But you can over come this by trailing another filtration unit behind it, but the cost!! Search the site, you would find more good stuff.

Lp4500 Whats The Verdict ?

810f250 Hey and Christopher,
Thanks for the info,
Just wondering when you say search the site for more good stuff do you mean in relation to the lp4500
Any idea what square footage it cleans per hour for say mid rated dirt or before the filters clog up

I meant do a search on this site, there are some post about the LP.

I think it was Khatty at Park West, that did a parking garage along side the LP4500, and they were finished faster and the residue left from cleaning was less with the West system. (West uses vacuum surface cleaners and polymer flocc water treatment system).

Dont, get me wrong I love the LP4500 unit, but remember because of its limited size the water filtration system is also smaller thus less capacity. The LP4500 unit uses a patented cyclone water removal technology, which is ingenious, (eliminates the need/expense/size of a vacuum unit).

Last I heard they were working on one for vertical surfaces.

It would definitely put your company on the forefront with cleaning technology in Ireland.

May your home always be too small to hold all your friends. :)

Welcome to PWI.

There is a suction or vortex on the bottom somehow that pulls up the dirty water as it cleans and then has a filtering system that cleans the water and then re-uses that water so they can keep going on the same tank of water.

I am not sure I understand it all but it sounds very interesting.

Totally self contained so no hoses anywhere.

Hey Nigel ,Thanks for that info,
What I love is the freedom to work without hosing and on a public thoroughfare the liability of someone tripping over a hose is a worry ,along with the obvious size of area to being able to possibly cover with one man and one machine!!!:)

Yes, Chris is correct Tom.

Their is possibly some engineering similarities between the LP4500 cyclone head and the Dyson vacuum cleaner cyclone.
Two great designs.

Eoinh, it is awesome to have no exposed hoses, and the LP4500 would be a dream on minimal obstacle jobs, that are done frequently, no system I know of maybe able to match the speed and convenience for the describe cleaning circumstances.

A vacuum floor scrubber maybe adequate in some situations , but floor scrubbers don't impinge hot water to surfaces like the LP4500, but high end floor scrubbers are still worth investigating.

Nigel, do you have video of it in use?

How long can you go typically before needing to clean the filters or add more water?

I agree, that would be so cool to have that on a little trailer and just drive it off, go clean the edges quickly and the hard to reach areas and then go and do the big areas that are left and then just drive to the trailer and go to the next job.

You would not have to wait until late hours when they are slow.

You could just go to gas station and drive around until you are done, usually waiting on customers to move.

That would really be great!

I wonder if it has fan blades attatched with the spray bars like I was talking about on the swabby?

Now your talking Chris!!

They did not send videos with the quote package, I am guessing they want to be protective of their info until you sign on the dotted line. (However, they was not as protective as the Swabby; wow, the Swabby documents was a lot of paper work, they had a pre-agreement, then a full agreement).

the best videos I have seen of the LP4500 are on You Tube.

Chris, I like to think of it as a twenty-four seven machine, you can run a daytime crew anywhere (great visibility and advertising opportunity) and have the night crew edge/cut in and perform gum removal. (Lets hope a giant like Waste Management does not decide to "lock down" the pressure cleaning market with machines like the LP4500)

I currently own two versions of this machine and would be happy to answer any questions you may have.

questions, questions, and more questions......

my first machine is called a 4506 (4500psi/6gm). it is not a driving unit. it is similar to a push behind surface cleaner but it (like the lp4500), it simultaneously cleans, recaptures, recycles. it is attached by 2 hoses to the trailer which houses the power plant, tanks, pump, etc. i will eventually post a pic or 2.

my lp4500 was purchased last year and looks identical to the lp4500 but mine has only a 24" cleaning path. same motor, same pump, same hydraulics, with no 4 wheel steer. the only difference is the size of the cleaning path.
