Hi all,
I recently bought a General TS 2021 to replace a tired 2021 that has a couple thousand hours. I was going to rebuild the tired one in my free time (cause we all have so much of that haha...)
I exclusively use this pump on all of my machines for ease of use and interchangeability, some machines have one, some have two.
I swapped this new pump out as normal, bolted it up, backed off my k10 unloader, primed it, and started it up and creeped up the pressure to ~3200 with my #6 nozzle. I have a gauge on all of my machines as well as a 4000psi pop off valve.
I ran this machine for about 10-15 hours before it developed a hairline crack at the manifold right around the high pressure discharge port spraying water everywhere. i swapped it for another and contacted the supplier i bought it from. They are refusing to cover it under generals warrentee claiming that it is due to over pressurization. I have installed at least 7-8 of these but have never had this issue.
Does this sound legit? I obviously will not say what company if this is a true issue. Thanks guys
