Coxreel orings

For what purpose would you need a foamer? Foam is good for long dwell times, I didnt think anything you did on the roof was dirty enough to need that. But yeah, a surfactant, chems, water and air. Those vids are old, I dont think I use anything on them anymore.

I would like to try a foamer on an evaporator coil over a restaurant. Coil cleaner is nasty and burns lile a mo.

Really, I'd like to build something like the rectangular water pickup attachment on a shopvac that I could put up against the coil and shoot foam deep into the coil.

Here's why. Look how the coil cleaner only penetrates the first inch or so. Guys will spray on foaming coil cleaner, it will go an inch or so into the coil and they just leave it on there for condensation to rinse it off.

Big coils like this are cleanable, but what I have to do is
1. Spray on coil cleaner
2. push the coil cleaner further in with a light spray
3. Repeat with heavier spray
4. Repeat with heavier spray
5. Again
6. Then blast it out with hard, hot spray.

That foamer seems like a lot better option if you can make it go around a corner and DRIVE it deep into the coil.

For something like that, their foamer would probably work but you would want a wetter type foam, not like shaving cream as that will not as far into the coils, maybe add more soap and use that nozzle you told me about and give that a try. For the thicker foam, air is the best thing.

I found that nozzle you told me about, it was $29.99 at sears, it came with a way-over-priced soap. hahaha

I think I can rig up something that will do the same thing or better. I will let you know.

Tony, is your lift articulated or telescopic?

Oh, I see. Seems downstreaming would be a better option than foam. DSn would take the chem all the way through the coils.

the problem with DS is the volume of water required. All that water has to be reclaimed because the drain can't handle it.

If the foam could be pushed into the coil that would be ideal.

I have used an xjet kinda like this. When dowstreaing I use an xjet to rinse with and after taking the soap tip out of my wand I will put the xjet in and while it is pushing the soap mixture that is still in the line out it foams like crazy.Once the soap clears the line it stops of course but it maybe something you want to try.

I am sure you thought of this already Tony but what if you could get a wand on the other side of the coil spraying soap or foam???

Maybe that would help with the cleaning, applying soap/foam on both sides, letting it sit and doing it again?

Maybe that would help get the soap in far enough so it cleans better and faster?

Just some ideas.
