Could Foaming be impacted by the shortage of water?

How do you clean the fans with the foam-it would seem that would be a problem with regard to setup. Pulling that equipment up to the roof would take some time.

Once you learn the ways of the Foam Force, you can use your Jedi Fan Foaming Technique to clean the fans.

"The Foam Force is what gives a Jedi greaser his power. It's an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us. It binds the galaxy together." Mirza-Wan Kenobi

Well from the first post it apprears that you think that foaming is all that is done. The systems are still serviced the same scraping heavy buildup down to a manageable level using the same chems.
exactly...

Ask a good question and you get nothing in return-how do you service the fans with the foamer?

Those foamers can run lines in excess of 200', for roofs taller than that, you either need to bring your foamer to the roof and run air hose to it, or use a pump up foamer.

I did a McDonald's in mall, and ran 150' of hose to foam on the roof. Everything but the hose stayed on the ground.

Makes sense, i have never taken the PW on the roof to clean it. Why the foamer.

Most commercial places in phx have port holes in the buildings for security. I like the port holes in the buildings.

So if you are removing gum from the front sidewalks yes you will be effected at stage 4 if you are cleaning a dumpster pad or the KEC system you are exempt.

A large part of my cleaning is enviro or health related.

I truly think as and org. you should find a respect for all trades people.

KEC and cleaning in general are just a valuable to the public and can have damaging effects public safety.

What am I disrespecting? It is required cleaning of certian commercial areas grease containment areas dumpster pads and KEC. If you have gum stuck on your sidewalk or it has turned black from tire scuff that certainly is not covered under federal satge 4 water restriction guidelines. It would be cosmetic.

The pump up foamers are very compact and easy to carry. They produce plenty of foam, and on standard set up would be more than enough. Put your chemical in the foamer, carry it to the roof and add your water there so you don't have the added weight carrying it up the ladder. You can also rope it to the roof with your other tools. Foam your fans and ducts, allow them to dwell, then simply rinse away.

That foamer looks likes a Delco foamer?

Good little foamer i would imagine. Does Delco supply the larger foamers recomemnded by TGP?

Both are sold by Delco. Delco also has a great new foaming agent if anyone is interested.

I saw this document on another board that I think explains what is and isn't OK to clean during drought conditions pretty good. It said something like pressure washing for beautification purposes is prohibited, but pressure washing for health and safety is ok. I think thats what Alexy was talking about when he said gum removal, I am pretty sure that is considered beautification and not health or safety.
