Contest Myrtle Beach happenings

I can't even find anything on their site for less than $120 to start :( And are the done in 24 hours???

Here the Kinko's USED to be open 24 hours, now they close later than most businesses and close early on the weekends.

I used to go there all the time when they used to be open 24/7 but when FedEx merged with them, they cut their hours and their service went out the window also, what a shame.

I will go by there and see what they can do.

Looking forward to Myrtle Beach, haven't been to a forum before.
Washed an old, clapboard home in historic Savannah today, went through two 5-gal of hotsy breakthrough before having to resort to the old 12.5
I am sick of breakthrough!

You will have a great time there, bring extra paper and pens, there will be a lot you can learn about!

That is what is great about the bbs's, there is so many years of experience and knowledge here for those that make the time to go read the older posts and learn from others' time, mistakes, sharing, etc... it sure saves you months and years of learning the hard way and wasting $1000's of dollars in stuff that does not work good for that job.

If you can't find what you are looking for, the search button is also a great tool, just type in what you are looking for and it will usually show you many pages of posts about what you are looking for.

Thanks for the tip, but I spend lots of my free time -- seriously -- reading old threads, just trying to learn. I lurk in the shadows, wondering why the Apple guy got banned (still don't know why).
I want to win that skid!! Hook me up, Ron!

Do I need a room for Thursday and Saturday?

I looked at the schedule but couldn't find start times. I have a five-hour drive, and am trying to figure out what nights I need to reserve? Do I drive up early Friday and leave saturday evening? Or do I go all-out and get a room for Thurs, Fri and Sat? Anyone out there with a short drive who can shed some light on their plans?

Registration starts at 8 am on Friday - there are things planned until about mid-day on Sunday :)

So what time is the first event Friday? Registration may begin at 8, but if the first event isn't until 11, perhaps I could save an additional night.

Normally by 9-9:30am everything seems to get underway....:drag:

Hopefully many will be registered by Thursday evening since Friday gets started pretty early.

Do yourself a favor come in Thursday night, you will be well rested for Friday, plus there will be contractors around Thursday and Thursday night, that's some of the best networking is the in between time. Stay Saturday night too, good networking and there usually is a good half day Sunday and still giveaways probably and more to learn

You want to suck up information, be there Thurs to Sunday

I will be leaving at 2am to get there by 9am. Save me a seat up front I cant hear well. To many years around heavy equiment.

As far as well rested, Jeff wake me up when they call my name for the skid.:thud:

I agree, plan on coming in on Thursday and leave on Sunday afternoon.

That long of a drive before the event will cause you to lose some concentration and you will not get all you can, there will be a lot you can learn.
