I just want to congratulate my long-time industry friend and former business partner, Steve Stephens, author of The Pressure Cleaning Marketing Bible, for his marriage yesterday to Le'Anna Sawyer. It's good to see him looking so happy!View attachment 18868
That was a good article Allison with a feel good story from a tragic accident Accident Steve had. Do you have a story anywhere how you guys all met each other?? Steve and Rob are before my time on the net and going to Conventions etc.. What kind of functions did you guys meet at years ago?? I would love to read a bio about you in one of these magsI haven't talked with him since the first of the year, but I do know he's doing some work thanks to the machine that our longtime friend, Rob Carey, won then donated to Steve. (I also need to praise Russ Johnson for shipping the maching for free to Steve as well.) Steve did get the gift from Rob and did a big cleaning/consulting job almost immediately thereafter that paid enough for him to keep his house. He wrote a piece about Rob's gift in the Fall 2011 issue, which can be viewed here: http://www.ecleanmag.com/past-issues/

Steve, Rob and I met when I was editor of Cleaner Times (1994-1998). Steve and I met in Las Vegas and we went out with a couple of others to the old casino with the cowboy on it (I can't remember the name. It's gone now.) There we met Johnny, the Elvis-impersonating bartender, Jim, our dealer who would slip us hints when no one was looking, etc. It was a fun-filled night for us country folk. Steve also wrote quite a bit for CT when I was there so we talked often.
Rob and I knew each other through PWNA, but we really became good friends at a CETA convention in Chicago which was followed immediately by another PWNA event. He wrote for CT some as well. The last time I saw Rob before this past summer was at a fleet-washing event in Dallas. I had brought a couple of my friends along with me for a long weekend. Rob treated us to dinner.
