Condo Roof cleaning

Scott great work,

Sometimes we have trouble forecasting chem usage for these kind of estimates. How do you forecast chem usage?

I usually will categorize the roofs in clumps according to how thick the algae is. (for my data only)

Something like :

Units (units xxx to xx) are a 6 out of 10 with algae buildup requiring xxx gallons.
Units xxx to xx are a 10/10 etc requiring xxx gallons, then I will try to forecast the chem usage for the groups.

Forecasting the chem bill can make or save you a lot of $$$ with huge projects like this one. Not fun when you get that 1 call every 5 years for a huge gig and your bid is 20k over the next guy (I have done it). Or when you are on a project and you under funded you chem usage. Man, don't ya wish you could do one or two of these a month? I have 4 estimates out like this one and 2 have already come back with a "no" and the others are stuck in at corporate in a paper stack

Great looking gig Scott.

We firgure out how much we think each building should take, and then bought a couple of more barrels. Funny you should ask this though. They ran out on Saturday, and had to pay a $350 call out fee to our provider.

We have 5 estimates out to apartments, and have not heard a yes or no from 3 of them. 1 of them, said we got it because the other companies didnt show up, or showed up and decided they couldnt do it. The other one just asked us for our workmans comp yesterday, which we are in the process of getting, but do not have a certificate yet. We are scambling to get it though.

My focus this year is on commercial, and residential commercial. Of course we're still going to target residential, but I am going to put alot of advertising dollars into landing large jobs.

Good work Scott!!! Thats awsome to have a wife and crew that can handle work like that while your away!

Thanks Mike!! Its actually just Celeste and 1 guy now that one of our guys quit. She is interviewing a couple of guys today though. We are getting busy busy, and our advertising hasnt even gone out yet, so we need to get some guys trained fast.

Roof looks great, Now sell them on that filthy concrete.

Haha, we bid these condos last March, and just did the job last month! Very hard sell. We are doing their tennis court, and I am hoping for it to lead to the drives.

Thanks!

Nice job Scott. They look great. I did 39 building around tampa a few months ago and they turn out like that. It was like night and day diff.
