I use ACT for scheduling. What is everyone else using.
We are always open for info. to make running a buisness
more user friendly :) and better..

I started using ACT this year and it is great, I type in the Address and use one of the user defined fields for the project quote... It automatically transfers all of the data to my bid proposal / contract form that I customized in the program. Takes 2 minutes to print a bid and cover letter

I have not tapped the scheduling part of the program... Does it work pretty well for you?

I personally like the Palm Pilot Software for contact / account info.
You can even import database/ excel files and keep it all in your pocket.

The call comes in, you can be on a roof, or just lounging by the pool somewhere and have all the info you need right on the Palm Pilot.

Josh you have to get into the schedule part of act. That is just as useful as the contact info. If you have your contacts in act already you are ready to go, it only take a few seconds to schedule cleanings, and you can reoccur them into the future at predetermined intervals, you can change colors if you are working with different crews so you don't confuse them, even filter them by crews and print them out (i.e., work schedules). I have attached a picture of act the way I use it, the left side is the calendar, click on a day and it gives a detailed look at that day in the center window, and to the right is the contact screen. The picture is bit blurry, but it's the best I can do and it still be small enough to attach here.

ok lets see if this works, This view only shows half of the contact screen, it can be scrolled over and it has tabs to click to other info about that customer

That is not the newest version, I have the newest version though. I have some issues with it, I would have to change the way I do things if I were to use it. And it won't convert my data base without corrupting it. (many hours of tech support spent, to no avail. I would like to send it back.) No we don't do 9 jobs a night, more like 6 or 7, There is some dead weight in there, jobs that don't clean regularly or pay timely, I will leave those in place in black until I get time in the month to call them, then I will either schedule them and assign to a crew or delete the cleaning and it will come up again in three months or so, so I can waste another phone call.

Bryan, have do you use Quickbooks? If so, have you tried integrating ACT with QBPro?
Did some research, and it appears that I would need a third program (ACT Link) to connect the two. Trying to find someone who has done this.

Yes I do and no I have not tried to link them, I use QB online, and it doesn't link with act. I like the payroll sevice connected with it the online QB.
