Commercial Flat work Question

Jon and others that deal with commercial cleaning, where do you get that key that is aprox. in size= to a 9mm socket, to turn on the water from the spicket that comes out from the bldg.

I've been using my socket wrench for this but some of the stores have a tool and of course non of them have an extra one and they have no Idea where they got it from...

John that little key, the 4 way thing is easy to come by, hmm, send me a check for $100 and I will get one for you.

Ok kidding aside, several places, check with Home Depot, plumbing supply stores, hose marts.

I have had mine since high school, used to wash down sidewalks for money. Hey beats a paper route!

If you really have problems finding one let me know and I will get one for you and ship to you. they don't cost all that much.

Also there is another kind, many places have the sprinklers you push into a water opening and it activates them, they make a water spigot like that too, push it in, turn it and you have water, screw on the hose and your in business.

I just ordered 2 from that awning site that you mentioned Ron. $15 which includes shipping. Considering I lost about a Half hour plus the other day because I didn't have this tool its money well spent.

I think I got mine at Home Depot or some other hardware store for about $3.

Thats the problem. If I had more time right now I would try to track that key down but for a couple of extra dollars and no time lost thats were the net comes in...

Called "water keys" around here - makes sense. Available at well equiped hardware stores.

John, I have found that some require a key that is just a little larger than the largest size on the 4-way. I found it at a plumbing supply house.

That sure was an old post.

I find them everywhere.....Home Depot, Lowes, Ferguson's, all plumbing supply houses, etc.... I keep a few on the truck and a couple in the trailer toolbox. The few times I have a helper, they forget them and take them home. I am glad I have spares.

I think Im going to buy my guys pants WITHOUT POCKETS

We Xjet, but we will use black soap tips to fill buckets and I get all over my guys, when 20 black tips disappear in a week or two.Drives me nuts. I had one guy bring in from his house 16 black tips, 4 white tips and 3 green tips WTF

I just ordered some from Bob and I am giving 3 to each guy and after that they are buying them, I bet they wont lose them as much. I sound like Scrooge, but its gotten crazy
