Im starting my 3rd season and I know Im needing to get into hot water units. Im looking at doing parking garages and will certainally take any suggestions on units. Im looking at a Tuff 3000 psi 5 gpm which has 400 hours on it. Thanks for any and all replies, Pat

How much is the used Tuff? Sometimes used is better But most of the time it's not!

I'm thinking a 5gpm in a parking garage would make for a long project. You may want to think about how many s/f an hour a 5gpm will do. PM Jim in CA he can tell you all about it.

As far as being a good machine, Tuff makes a great skid unit. I have had 3 units over the years, mine were 3500psi @ 5.5 gpm I still have 1 unit as a back up and it has over 2500hrs on it and still works like a champ!!

I bought Kory's used Tuff last year. Honda 20 hp, General 2021 pump, Becket burner, its all good. The only thing I may need some day is a new frame. The love and Florida weather is wearing it down. Any body know where I can get a frame (skid)? It all comes down to price and a good look over.

Tuff are good machines but if you want to do the huge jobs and not be there for weeks and weeks you need to get a 2nd or 3rd machine because most of the time they will let you work only at nite and on weekends if they can't block off a section for you to do.

One machine on a parking garage will be a long job.

Alkota Hot Water Washer thoughts???????????????

Have a Alkota 30 inch surface cleaner and thought it was tits when I got it but it was slow going. I figured the bigger the better but after reading on here I will be trying 24 inch cleaners.
Im going to be buying either from Delco or Alkota, hot washers 5gpm 3000-3500 psi.
Would love to hear your thoughts, Pat (Will be using on parking garages)

I personally think the only way to go is 3500psi @ 8gpm HOT WATER!!
We run 3 machines on our rig, and you can move quick thru just about anything.
