COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A fire forced a north-side restaurant to close on Sunday.

Firefighters were called to the Red Snapper Jamaican restaurant on Cleveland Avenue at about 3:30 p.m., NBC 4 reported.

The building was empty at the time of the fire because the restaurant is typically closed on Sundays.

Upon arrival, fire investigators said, the building was filled with smoke. They determined that the fire started in the kitchen.

Arson investigators are trying to determine what caused the fire.

Damages were estimated at $60,000.
