I have a fleet i wash every Wed. this week they are calling for sun with a low of 20 and a high of 40 degrees, will it be ok with the hot water or will the trucks turn into ice bergs?

As long as it is above 32 you be ok. But once it hits 32 hot water tend to freeze quicker than cold water. Also have your line empty when traveling to and from your job site.
 
I have washed fleets in 30* with no problems. Go get a ski suit and some good rain gear. i hate fleet wwashing in cold weather but it keeps the house warm. if you mean
-20* i would say stay home, but Ive seen pics on here of guys washing in the snow.
 
It was 7 here this morning. Even if it's above 32 and the wind is howling it will freeze. And it will also freeze the locks, glad hands etc on the trucks. Wind chill is a real factor when it comes to washing. Plus the slip and fall liability of a bunch of truck drivers.
 
Be careful out there.

Hot water will freeze faster than cold so adjust your temperature accordingly.

On the road, the wind can freeze the water in your tank, lines, pump, etc... You might want to keep the machine running so it will bypass back into your tank while you are driving so the water is circulating, circulating water will take longer to freeze.

OR

You can empty the lines, pump, coil, etc.... and then fill up at the next job.
 
Thanks for the input guys, I think i will wait and wash them Friday it's going to be a little warmer, just takes longer to get done, have to wait for trucks to come in. Do what we gotta do.
