nothing will do it like hot water and a 5 or 15 degree tip ,no chems will do it just hot water !

I use 2500psi cold and I have no problem getting the gum up. I don't etch the concrete at that pressure either.

I FIGURED COLD WATER COULD ALSO DO THE JOB BUT HOT WATER DEFINITELY WOULD MAKE IT ALOT EASIER. MY COLD WATER MACHINES ARE TOO POWERFUL TO USE FOR GUM ON CONCRETE.

What Tip Are You Using To Do It With Joel ?

I use a 40 degree size 7. That's on a 13hp/TS-2021 gear drive which equals about 2500psi and almost 6GPM. Oh, and I don't leave shadows.

I've used hot water to remove gum before and I admit it does work faster by melting the gum. But I think that melting it is what leaves the shadows.

My burner broke down and I had to use cold water to do a job and it worked well so I never fixed it. I've used cold water exclusively ever since. But I don't do that much flatwork. If that part of my business starts to ramp up, I will be going back to hot water. Can't beat hot for grease and foot traffic stains.

i use cold water exclusively also. it works well for me with residential but commercial i think it takes longer with cold water eapecially with gum.
